I just want to encourage you to never give up the true faith! Do many of the believers I knew have fallen away and it gets discouraging. But we know the end of the story! Let’s press on towards the mark of His calling!
I love it when people quote John 3:16, they always read the first part, for God so loved the world., but forget the condition statement that follows. So yeah maybe he does have favorites. Malachi chapter 1: Mal.1
[1] The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.
[2] I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,
[3] And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
[4] Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.
Definitely a favorite there!
this is an awesome insight Kadman.. keep in mind that in the old testament Jesus hadn’t paid for our wickedness. now though I think our sins still do a fine job of punishing us all by themselves. LOL
