  1. OH MY B, YOU BROUGHT BACK MANY MEMORIES OF DAYS GONE BY . FOND MEMORIES OF SEARS CAUSE MY DADDY WORKED THERE OVER 30 YEARS SO BELIEVE ME I COULD TELL YOU A THING OR 2 ABOUT A CRAFTSMEN TOOL OR A KENMORE APPLIANCE ! MONGOMERY WARD ALSO I PERSONALLY WORKED THERE ALMOST 10 YEARS TILL WE WENT BELLY UP ! SO STRONG WERE THEY AT ONE TIME. THEY WERE AT LEAST CLOSE TO 100 OLD YEARS IN BOTH BUSINESSES THEN WHIP BAM BOOM IT WAS OVER AND THE CHANGE FOR THE CHAINS START TO ROLL IN WITH THE GREAT TAKEOVERS WITH THE WALMARTS THE TARGETS . BOY THEY CAME IN AND BASICALLY WIPED THE BIG BOYS OUT AND NOW THEY ARE THE GO TO PLACES NOW . THE CHAINS WE EXCHANGED FOR BASICALLY BUILT A BETTER MOUSETRAP AND ONLY TIME WILL TELL WHETHER OUR NEW CHAIN BENEFITS US BETTER THAN THE OLD CHAIN DID BESIDES ,WHERE ARE WE GONNA GO ? THE NAMES HAVE CHANGE BUT THE GAME IS THE SAME THE’RE OUT TO GET THEM DUCKIES OUT OF YO POCKETS THAT’S THE BOTTOM LINE. LIKE YOU B I SEE THE EVER CLEVER CHAIN CHANGE IN THE CHAINS WE HAVE ALSO. IT USED TO BE SAID THAT IF A KID COULD KEEP NOT STILL IN CLASS IT WASN’T ADHD IT WAS HE WAS A DISIPLINE PROBLEM AND THE ANSWER WAS AROUND YOUR DADDY’S WAIST HOLDIN UP HIS PANTS ! IN MOST CASES SHIFTING CHAINS FROM OLD TO NEW SEEM TO BE PREFERED. NO MORE DISIPLINE PROBLEM ITS ADHD SO SAYS THE SO CALLED GENIUSES ! HE IS ALCOHOL CHALLENGED PERSON BUT NOT A DRUNK MIND YOU ! THE NEW NAME SOUND SO MUCH BETTER ! WE LOVE CHAIN CHANGING THAT SEEMS TO BE NEW AND BETTER ! IS IT BETTER TIME WILL TELL !

  2. I agree with you ! The most classic one is the dimestone. Woolworth. Now it’s 1.00 tree! And I even heard recently they’re going to charge tax…but keep the same name LOL. There are some people who call it the Dimestore!

  3. Dear Bryan…I have been blessed by your music. For close to around 30 or more years.. Christmas Is Jesus..is my fav Christmas song of all…But my heart was broken when I found you had divorced and remarried…
    I did the same thing…15 years ago…But then while reading the scriptures…I found that Jesus said 4 times that Remarriage is Adultery!!! In Matthew 5:32, 19:3-9, Mark 10:11-12, Luke 16:18, also..in Romans 7:1-3 and 1 Corinthians 7:10-11.. Makes it very clear..if your first spouse is still living and you are married to someone else while your first spouse is still living you are in adultery…
    Please Bryan don’t blow thus message off..Also the Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:19 b..Says everyone that names the name of Christ, depart from iniquity.. Bryan adultery is iniquity..Depart!!!
    To know to do good and do it not is sin..Please don’t play with your eternity!!!

  5. Yeah radio shack was a favorite. My grandmother worker at sears. The moral compass of this world has definitely stopped pointing north. They can disguise the sin but in the end it’s all the same.

  6. This sure brought back a lot of memories and a lot of stores that I used to meander through. My husband bought a lot of tools and tires from Sears. And I still have my Montgomery Ward sewing machine, although it broke. Dan was sewing something and it just stopped. Everything looked fine, so now I wish Monkey Ward was back so they could fix it. I’ll have to look for a place to see if they can fix it. And there’s a Rite Aid by my grandson’s house where we go to get Thrifty ice cream. Pralines and cream was my favorite growing up. Not chocolate, not strawberry, but pralines and cream. Now they call it pecan pralines, talking about name changes.
