Even When The Song Isn’t Pretty
Playin music in a big hall with lights and smoke and a huge crowd isn’t where most musicians live most of the time. The music might have changed but the savior we proclaimed has not.

amen to that
more important now than ever
Well said….
sometimes I forget what I said that wasn’t complaining
I enjoy hearing your stories, Bryan. I came to faith as a young man of about 9 or 10 in the late 1970’s, and so I am fascinated by this history of faithfulness. Keep sharing, and I will keep listening!
Means a lot that you’d take the time M. E.
Wow… this feels like the ending of one chapter of a new song and worship for Jesus that you and Sweet Comfort Band helped birthed, along with the collaboration ❤️ of others like yourselves. Part 2 of your own journey towards Christ ✨️ is on it’s way and I’m eager to hear all about it Bryan even if songs are in a mix of pretty to pretty animated sarcasm. The best songs are ones overflowing with a mix of events and emotions, and those that say nothing at all! Thank-you Bryan for all you’ve done and will do for me
well this was only the half way point in the SCB story.. it was just a look back at the 70’s and now… I’m in my 70’s LOL
Thank You once again, for filling me in. During those years l fumbled around trying to find others who wanted what l call hip Christian Music. Wandering aimlessly. Not finding anyone. All the people l knew weren’t interested. They all said. I need to make money playing music .l understood. I was like a fish trying to swim up stream. You know the drill. I just had to keep on’ keepin’on’. Still no answers. I’m Super Happy for You My Friend. You made it! And, You Deserved It. You Ran with it.
had to say in this life what “making it” means.. certainly didn’t feel like I made anything..
Hey. Truth faith is tested over time. Not over a knee jerk reaction. I wonder how many managed to keep their faith from that period. Not so important to hear about the Jesus movement during the 70s although interesting, more important the stories and lessons learned. Keep plugin away….
the 70’s were like one page in the sears catalog to me..
Thanks for sharing your stories with me. They are fresh from the heart ❤️ and a great way to minister plus fellowship. Thanks for not dismissing me too! Oh I’m waiting for my dinner with my after toothpick to make my boat…it’s free it comes with the meal!! I would like to hear about your solo career days…
you’ll have to take a picture of yer walnut sailboat
Good to hear these reflections. And glad you are still on the path of faith.
Hi n Thanks Don.. like Peter said… ‘where else are we gonna go?”
Will try to take a photo of the ship…make it an arts and crafts project…that’s free too! Thanks for the idea Bryan…am always looking for creative crafts!
LOL now I wanna do a couple with my grands
I was in Jr High when I “borrowed” my older brother’s cassette tape of Breaking The Ice. I loved it and played it endlessly. I was a piano player and Christ follower. Your music made a big impact on me at that time that directed me in my own musical journey. Hearing the back stories after all these years is great! Not just the day to day but the spiritual and relational side as well. Much of my play style, writing and arranging, and singing style was influenced by you and SCB. Looking forward to hearing more!
wow thanks for sayin … when yer doin stuff its hard to imagine who’s actually listening
