  1. This is so fun to hear the stories! My son traveled in a christian band called Trampolines and they were as crazy as Sweet Comfort Band. I also traveled in a group with my family and we recorded our albums at the Gaither studio’s. We can so relate to your stories! Thanks for sharing!

    1. Thanks for hangin around too Barby.. interesting name for a band Trampolines! I put that in one of my songs onces “Just caught a vision on a trampoline” LOL song called “it Gets better” on Joyride

  2. Wow Bryan you and the Sweet Comfort Band guys surely had a wild colorful 20s like the rest of us…and we shared the same dining places like Dennys McDonald’s and all the fastest food…we ate everything we shouldn’t and especially loved ❤️ Dunkin Donuts! We bought a dozen mixed one of each flavor and crowded around to get what we wanted. We didn’t have much money in our 20s so we started out learning how to get the best for less. We bought clothes from resale shops and jewelry too! Did you know they still sell turquoise and coral for next to nothin? Yep…we were getting all prepared for 80s! Those were the days my special friend and I love ❤️ it that we can chat like this! You’re so lol

  3. Just to add Bryan…don’t mean to compare our younger lives cause you asked to comment…you’re a 10 and I’m a 2…just so amazed we did a lot of the same things…it’s good to recall the time that you’ve been with others…the good and the not so good. Love that you encourage us to share. Lol

  4. B, YOU GUYS HAD SOME FUNNY ADVENTURES BACK THEN ! AFTER HEARING YOUR VOICE ON THE RADIO FOR THE FIRST TIME HOW LONG WAS IT BEFORE IT WAS HEARD ON THE RADIO BACK HOME IN NORTH CAROLINA ? WHAT DID YOUR MAMA ,DADDY AND SIBLINGS SAY WHEN THEY HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME ON THE RADIO BACK HOME ?

  5. This song is new to me. I started with hearts of fire. I saw earlier records being sold on Air Force bases.

  6. Bryan I can’t color inside the lines now literally! I’m learning handwriting now!! My affliction is quite exasperation…thanks for letting me share…on the backrow lol

  7. Hay man love your music -always have – love your nutty commentary!
Another dude who never grew up (I’m 74 pastor a small church in Murphys Ca.) been revisiting your first 3 lps. And love the music and the message – very deep actually! My favorites of yours are still BLUE SKIES & MY UTMOST FOR HIS HIGHEST – thanks man

  8. Sorry about some of my entries…it’s been a long week for me…motor skills have gone out…need repairs now! At this point just treading water. Thanks for keeping nutshellsermons.com Bryan!

  9. I understand everything you say and all of it is truly a good thing…very cool! Sometimes my responses aren’t worded well, nice way to put it…my sentences aren’t complete or words left out. ILLITERATE. I admit ashamed. The minime babe’s sermon on disclaimers I could really appreciate cause I don’t listen to it on TV or radio not just because it goes too fast but I don’t want a product with that many flaws that are harmful or don’t work or need work for extra money. You should know Bryan that I only listen to, buy …the best…won’t waste time even on anything else! I love your music, voice, creativity and your memories ✨️…minime is right Bryan!

  10. I imagine it was exciting to hear your music on the radio for the first time. I have done a few guest spots on podcasts and talked on microphone during prison ministry boy I my voice is horrible haha. It doesn’t need to be on radio haha

  11. Hey Bryan – so ironic that you would be talking about childish things on this week’s podcast. As I mentioned to you a few days ago for about a week and a half that song was all I could think of like an ear worm recently. I listened to it over and over again in my car on my phone in my house. I don’t know why, but it just resonated with me.
Thanks for these great stories, brother. I love hearing them and your voice.
Wish I could’ve made it to the concerts you held in California recently. I was even thinking about flying out there just for it, but couldn’t quite make it work.

    1. yer forgiven bout missin the gigs.. we wanted to keep em small for that club like feel and intimacy lot o people tho did fly in.. from Hawaii was I think the farthest… lot waaaay oooold friends too were there. and yea.. were not child’s anymore! LOL might still be childish tho
