Loves this interview Bryan. Wonderful to hear you both honoring your bass player –
thanks didn’t feel that good about him when I left the band but time and looking back.. I see it!
Nice conversation. Sorry that Kevin went through all that but nice he was so positive about it and not depressed etc
And it’s good you have the memories that you had with him
thanks.. he had his highly annoying side as well but we’ll leave that for another day! LOL
Wow what an amazing interview with you and Rick about Kevin’s passing…you had mentioned things Kevin had done in the past, but I didn’t know how much he contributed, so much! You’re so blessed cause Sweet Comfort Band had all super talented members . The four of you were great at multitasking which kept you guys tightly bound to work things through and get them done. Am I right? I love hearing the stories about SCB and the 70s, cause I’m a boomer too and remember those days with fond memories…thanks for sharing this memory and even though I didn’t know SCB back then, I’m happy to hear it now!!
yer right.. about Kevin, close quarters makes you resent the minutia.. it took me a couple decades to make a better assessment. without Kevin, we would never have had an impact
Interesting that Kevin’s faith was stronger than his ability to lift a car! Seems like the Jesus in Kevin (esp. positive attitude) appears to have impacted the rest of the band. Amazing how Jesus changes people using other people and He still does. Jesus used the Sweet Comfort Band to have a positive impact on me! Thanks for sharing the interview.
thanks DP! nice to hear from ya too.. i was taking a chance here in posting my first ever 30 minute podcast.. not sure what the reaction would be..
Great interview…you three were each of the heart and soul of the band…I thought you were the leader of the band but I can see now all had his own special contribution. No matter what, SCB had a super unique sound and that’s made it stay popular throughout the years, and after Kevin is gone, all until present. I can listen now and identify with the emotions coming from your heart. Thanks for keeping the music alive on nutshells Bryan!
our time here is coming to a close, and we are assessing what is most significant
Wow- it’s now 2025 and God used that interview done in 2010 to speak and help me today !!!! Thank you so much for sharing- and yes Brian you still got it – God is good
Really? .. never expected a comment like yours! this week Thanks Bill
Time is coming to a close…shall we revisit the SCB in a decade or two and see who’s still standing? Prolly be you cause you’re the will and the quill! Lol
startin to wonder.. who stands.. and my feet hurt!
