  1. Bryan, I relate to this message more than I even want to admit that I do. The people that know me can always be sure that I am going to speak the truth, and sometimes that offends. I just don’t have an apology letter typed up for efficiency. Maybe I should get right on that……..

  2. Don’t need to ask forgiveness for speaking truth. Anger is a tricky thing. The tongue can bless as well as curse. The one organ that can save, or condemn. So while speaking the truth is always preferred, sometimes it’s better not to say anything at all.

  3. Well I tried to post something but get an error message “looks like a duplicate”.
    Oh my, a doupleganger.

  4. Oh, yes. I tend to be a people pleaser and sometimes I have to just let people be mad. That’s a hard thing for me to do. I have to constantly ask the Lord to tame my tongue lol.

  5. So glad you told me how I can actually leave comments on your podcast. Thanks for that! Goodness… This one got me. It makes me think of one of my very favorite books… “Unoffendable” by Brant Hansen.

    1. Brennan Manning too in Ragamuffin Gospel says something similar about being un able to get defensive when you are accused.. Glad you found the comments page it encourages me to stay the course

  6. Very well put. We are all still a work in progress. We all need to constantly change. And you’re right, it is not about aproval from people but improval in the sight of God so we can also be compassionate to people. Shakespeare made up words, so you can too.

  7. Somehow I think God approves of this message… AND ministry.
As a fellow lifetime member of Approval Addicts Anonymous, I find it difficult to let go of trying to prove my innocence, righteousness, or whatever it may be to save face, earn respect, maintain the facade that I >AM< worthy of … whatever.
IMPROVAL. – what I get when I recognize I’m approved by the only One that matters.
(Now I’m singing D & K’s song, “I’m accepted by the One who matters most”)
