  1. I done their good one, Bryan. I always kind of liked that Gideon story. Because I was felt like the little guy with the little numbers and still had hope that I could be victorious just because my God is bigger. Hope. Love the verse in the Bible that says “and hope does not disappoint us…“ Does not disappoint. Now there’s a small person guarantee!

  2. If the messiah had a social media or Facebook page, he’d have been sensored or blocked. Or better yet fact checked.

  3. Elijah and the prophets of Baal – classic! the world does seem so dark however your positive X comments as well as others(Spurgeon) I follow point me to Christ daily. God does use each of us for sure. I often wonder why God doesn’t use someone to rid the world of evil such as Putin. A single bullet would do the trick I must trust God as he could squash evil at any time through sickness, death or any means but I see all through the old testament where God used evil to force Israel to repent. can you imagine being Jeremiah. he had to be quite unpopular yet that is what God called him to do. we all want to be Gideon but yet our task is to be obedient and Trust God knows what he is doing with our assignments

  4. Baal bondsmen! LOL When I was really little, my dad would tell my brother and I Bible stories at bedtime (but it was his retelling of the stories), and I can still remember the imagery the story of Elijah and the Prophets of Baal would conjure up. Especially the parts where Elijah mocked them and they started slashing themselves.

Great Nutshell Sermom and thanks for reminding me of a happy simpler time for me!
