    1. sup DP thanks for bein #1 to comment on dis song.. I’ve mentioned lyrics in more than one episode.. musta been proud of my simplicity in communicating to 4 and 7 year olds! LOL

  1. When i was much younger, this song was fun to listen to in my ‘79 Jeep Cherokee. Now I’m older, listening to the lyrics gives me strength as the memories make me smile.

    1. Sup A.OC.. I heard it today too.. ‘doesn’t mean ya stop yer brain from thinkin’.. ‘doesn’t mean you’ll never dance alone’ .. I was talkin to myself mostly

    1. it was done on the cheap too .. prolly the songs were just good.. first time I decided I was soft selling the gospel a tad too much.. wrote Strong Medicine and Stand In My Place for this one

  2. The timing of this song couldn’t be more perfect. I’m so worried about a cat I was taking care of, who got into something he shouldn’t’ve. I will hand him over to Jesus who holds the life of every creature.

  3. I actually commented on this song a couple podcasts back where you mentioned it, just not by name (REconstructing Faith). I knew the song, so “I” mentioned it by name : ) That song is such a reminder to the believer regarding so many aspects. Bryan, I can’t say this enough, and I know that I have said it many times in different ways, but just about every song you have is a sermon. I like to get nailed between the “spiritual” eyes with statements that challenge me in the faith. I don’t care for candy-coated sermons or songs.

  4. This song has so much meaning in the lyrics. It was stuck in my head for about a week once and I was encouraged not annoyed. I wanted to sing it to my kids ….maybe over and over until they get it…lol…hand it over…something I need to do by the minute…

    1. I was singin a sermon to my kids but yesterday I felt like it was all for me.. the news gets more depressing everyday.. I had to start taking whole days away from social media.. I was getting sucked in..

  5. Don’t you love how our kids inspire us? I love this song. It’s a great reminder, even as an adult, to just hand everything over to God Who will always be there through everything you go through. I might have to put this on replay. My grandson inspired a poem in me, He’s Dancing to the Music in His Head. Figure that one out. Hugs

  6. The title track aforementoned, was the one to this album, as you can imagine. This is always a great song. I would play this album over and over in the cassette player in my car driving to work. Great vocals, songwriting and production.
A battle of faith to hand it over, a lifetime effort.

  7. Yeah man. love this one! Strong Medicine was the first cassette tape I heard. And was B/D fan by the time Lunatic Friend was released on CD.

    1. .. I’d like to say yer gonna make it… first thing I wanted to say to be growing sons! early on.. just felt the weight of preparing them for what’s comin..
