Bryan D., when you’re feeling like you’re not a favorite, that’s when a Nutshellian steps in and says—-I think your wife, children and grandchildren would disagree (as well as other Nutshellians). God has got us all covered, all the time! You’re a favorite on the back row for sure!
Before I came to Jesus I felt like an underdog. When I went to church, I was intimidated by how expensive the congregation lived. They put me in the middle aged adult singles group instead of the young adult group. I was in my twenties but they said I was mature. I was never on the same page! I finally left and went into Bible study and learned about Jesus. I went to church a Christian college for 7 years. Wow it takes 7 years in a convent to become a nun! Not me, cept sometimes I felt like a scribe. Anyway my heavy load of guilt and misunderstanding was lifted and I was free! It would take another 20 years of indignation from relatives until I actually did have my own free will. It’s so amazing too! I belong to a small non-denominational church through the Baptist church. The pastors and piano player are my age. Would you believe that one has a similar conversion story…wow, now I’m finally on the same page! And you are incredible as a sermonator, my special friend .
I’m kinda not happy with my last comment cause people who don’t know me could interpret it wrong…it’s a simple history of my adult years as a Christian, about how I felt intimidated by others. I didn’t realize I was fine and what I needed to do was just renew my mind! Obedience and patience were right up there with gratitude and prayers. I learned to keep a blessing journal and that’s my turning point down the road to redemption !
