God not only assures us that there will be trials, but that reassures us that he’ll see us through, and we’ll be a better us afterwards.

I actually DO find it encouraging to realize the “rivers and fires” are part of the plan, and not some punishment or surprises. Maybe they’re more like shock treatment therapy, for behavioral change.
Lots of great nuggets of truth in this one. Went by so fast, I’ll probably listen to it another dozen+ times to try and capture them all.
If you allow pauses in your editing, it allows the brains of folks like me to catch up and remember more.
