Yes! I did laugh out loud because I totally could relate to this podcast today and for probably last month of my life!
It encouragese me to know that I’m not the only one ashamed of my outbursts. But I gotta say they just feel so good! ROFL
Love this one! Thanks BD!
Yay! so happy to hear from you too.. I’m constantly praying about how to present real time truth in a way that’s not condescending
Bryan! I have to hand it to you now that was a sermon that needed to be preached.
of course I always preach from the back row! LOL I pretend to be shocked by the behavior of others.. when I know good n well i’ve done most of that!
I very much appreciate you being honest and open here Bryan!
so happy to hear from you. I’m never sure if I’m hittin a good spot with other people. best I can do is be honest about where I am in life! thanks
Bryan all your nutty nut shell sermons make me smile, but I was laughing out loud on this one! I am picturing you with that hammer and doorknob! What is most refreshing is that when you share your humaness, I can feel ok when I fall short.
I had a similar episode a few weeks ago when I spilled left over Chili trying to get it from the frig. I had a cussing, pitty party fit! Then I had to repent, which was not easy Its a good thing his mercies are new every morning, cause I need every one
LOL.. so I guess you found Jesus right there watching your tirade! LOL Yea, he’s patient with us and he gets it. Remember he cleared a temple one time with a scourge!
That was hillarious and so true. Definitely let’s me know I’m not alone and neither are you lol
LOL I admit.. I still felt really good repairing the damage I had done lol
Have lost it a time or to myself and always felt worse after dealing with anger and letting it get the best of me instead of letting Christ lead me in my attitudes and action. Right on point. Glad to know I’m not the only one
Cool of you to share it with me Coach!what surprises me is how quickly I can leave my sanity lol.. and you just know yer going to have to make amends.
Yep, been there. Thanks for keeping it real, and thank God for grace, or this is one pastor that would be screwed!✝️
good to hear from a pastor. I remember as a kid thinking preachers were the enemy! LOL now I know Better!
I am glad it’s not just me… unfortunately, I sometimes aim my tirades at the ones I love best. Open my mouth and the anger flows out unchecked… cleanup after that mess is painful. I’m gonna go look for a doorknob next time!
LOL I took my wrath out on my wife verbally just last night.. so thats not just me either! I’ve learned from rehab. “When I’m wrong, I promptly admitted it” … except for my ‘promptness’! LOL
I’m a little behind in listening to these, but this is just what I needed TODAY. Thanks for always managing to encourage me!
Hi Deb actually I’m excited to know that someone hears the earlier one later!!! feel like they’ll never get heard.. but trust me, that implication will come around more than once to beat something to death! LOL
So true, Brother Bryan! Being an Aspergerian and a Believer isn’t easy. I have punched a bag and a wall, (Thankfully, drywall is replaceable.) Or say something silly. My crew leader said he didn’t want me to call the Hilo drivers every 5 minutes and I said in a Groucho impersonation: “What do you want me to call them?” Heck, there’s only One who could walk on water. Keeping my eyes focused on Him is a good challenge. Love your Nutshell Sermons!
glad yer gettin some enthusiasm from my nutcase mind. It’s been helpful to me as well. Particularly this one! Thanks for your ongoing support too btw
Ok- thanks so much for the visual image and the laugh. I hate the you were stressed to that point, but lately I can definitely relate to surprise rage these last couple weeks. Trying to get my moods sorted out is sometimes a full time challenge. So the laugh was a nice relief- also made me wonder what I look like in the middle of my own crises… I hope it’s laughable, too!
Of course I did this nutshell last year so…. I”m fine now LOL..
You know, it hasn’t been a year since you posted your last comment for this. Met any good doorknobs lately? I’ve been busy fussing at my covers, missing appts for dumb reasons, the recliner, a pair of sweat pants I just can’t find the nerve to get rid of… who said if it only has one decent sized hole they’re no longer comfy?
HI T Bright.. I’m going to start posting links to back nutshells because I was just getting started and a lot of peeps didn’t hear em! .. too good to go to waste!
I can relate to this more often than I would like to admit. I know the Bible says to be slow to anger. I am struggling. Dealing with an 8 year old granddaughter, who is hyper and wants to challenge your patience every day. Ahh Lord help me to not beat the crap out of my computer or TV remote. LOL. Thanks for the laughs.
Hi Jana O! I’ve destroyed more phones than I wanted to admit! LOL thanks for comiserating!
I did laugh out loud, not because I saw myself, but I saw my husband. Even before I knew him he left holes in walls wherever he lived. We had holes in our walls in all our places, so far not in our condo now. My mother-in-law’s house, which we are hoping to own soon, had several holes, but I found out it was his sister that made one of those, also. Little did I know. I’m trying to think what my outbursts were like. I don’t recall hitting things, slamming things, throwing things, etc. I must have done something. Now I think I just cuss, which is not normal for me.
And it’s always funny to me that when something happens in your life, you happen to run into a devotional or a song or something that keeps that reminder in front of you. God will keep us on our toes.
thanks.. I can tell I’m not well when I start having ‘turrets’ myself! LOL hope I’m filling a need for a reminder on the nut pod
