  1. My lamp is always lit!!! I am always looking forward to seeing Jesus come to get us.
I love your nutshell sermons Bryan. You talk like you sing!!!

  2. I believe those times are on our doorstep. I have always understood the oil to be preparedness in one’s soul for the second coming and this really takes a lifetime of the discipline of following Christ. It simply cannot be imparted to another.

  3. As silly as it sounds, I’m off of Twitter through Lent. So I won’t be making comments through that. I will try to listen to your nutshell sermons and then I can comment through here.
I resemble the remark about the gas light coming on when I’m in a hurry or have to go somewhere.
I hope you’re surviving the storms. It’s pouring here in Inglewood and my daughter lost power in Culver City. We haven’t lost power yet and I hope we don’t at all.
    God bless you, Bryan.

    1. well here in Menifee we didn’t get snow or much wind or rain. didn’t seem like the storm of the century to me.. I still think the news glorifies everything for ratings. And I appreciate comments added here. I’m feeling a little needy with regard to my odd kind of serious devotions here. I soo know that i”m not fitting the mold. find myself sayin around church ‘who are these people?’ lol

  4. Makes me think of how they may have kept the lampstand in the temple burning 24×7. I mean, they could’ve hooked up some natural gas pipeline, for all I know.
And then I think of John 14, and the encouragement to stay connected to the vine- why? So the sap would flow! The lifeblood, the Spirit. I guess when we get saved, we’re fitted with the lamp, but I find myself often saying, “Hook me up!” when I’m the one that needs to plug in to the Source. Hmm… thanks for letting me muse with you.
