You’re a nut, but I love it! Thank you for the wonderful song. Maybe one day you can put it on a record, but until then, who needs a record when we have podcast?!
thanks CK! podcasting is the new way to do stuff.. at least I can let you hear songs that didn’t get recorded
Nice. That’ll worship!
thanks for your encouragement.. not sure I’ll be asked to lead worship but maybe I can add this at a church service
Loved it. Such a sweet groove and melody. Perfect lyrics for a worship tune.
Thanks for your kind assessment CG! and for takin the time to listen
I’m in! Perfect worship music!!
Would love to hear you record a Motown style worship album!!!
I only have two in this direction. I do plan to make a decent recording of this one and the other one.. maybe I’ll just make em available on this podcast. sure miss ya at gigs btw
Great job!
I guess I’ll never get old in my taste for worship music. I still love it loud and upbeat
Motown always put me in a good mood.. even ‘tears of a clown’ was done pretty upbeat. thank you for supporting my podcast!
That was AWESOME! I need to hear a full album! Actually, our church in Indy has a classic car show every August. I’m DJing it! We play classic music, and a LOT of Christian music from the 70s-80s! If you have more, I’d love to play it for the show! A LOT of the people who come have no church family. And yes…I absolutely play SCB!!!
I hope to record this one and the one called “Best That I Can Do” if and when I do I’ll send you a good copy..thank you for supporting my podcast!
This is SOOOOO good!!
Hi Miss B! glad you like it.. hope I get to sing it again ‘live’ with a full band before I die
Love it! I threw my team of millenials a curveball a couple of weeks ago with a maj7 chord!
LOL I play one! at my church … but only one! there’s a restriction on Jazz lol thank you for supporting my podcast!
Thank you for the wonderful reminder of giving thanks! I’ve appreciated your music since the SCB days!
Hi Bruce nice of you to stop by.. I need more self esteem! LOL thank you for supporting my podcast!
Love this! All these songs that didn’t make it on an album would make a great album.
I did 4 projects with crowdfunding but after a while it just wasn’t fruitful.. I don’t wanna do records for no reason. and Radio is not likely to pick up my ‘old school’ approach. Ima just do what is in front of me for now..thank you for supporting my podcast!
Love it! That is so good. Worship music shouldn’t be locked into one style. God loves variety.
HI Linda Oh …hope I can record it decently eventually and play it with a full band and Background singers! thank you for supporting my podcast!
I love thing song. It reminds me of the music I listened to when I got saved.
Hi Val! thanks for your encouragment here.. means a lot. I do hope to record this one professionally
You should do a complete project like this. Please, help us with a different flavor or of worship!
Thanks for your vote of confidence. my own church wasn’t interested … I started a podcast because interest in ‘album projects’ is a thing of the past. I hope to record this for real and make it available on here.thank you for supporting my podcast!
Please consider doing a new r&b album for us “Jesus romantics” cause we are thankful not hopeless.
I am willing to record but thru covid our crowdfunding was a complete failure. last four years we haven’t raised enough money to record a single song. I started this podcast too because covid lockdowns ruined my concerts and it was like being unemployed.. so this is where I am. mostly working my ‘second job’ nutshellsermons.
That was a very beautiful Melody man, great lyrics too!! God bless your day bro
Thanks Bry!
I love it! It’s so refreshing and different from most worship music. Hope to hear more Motown style worship from you 🙂
actually I do have another motown style song called “Best That I Can Do” I’ll be posting that on here under ‘songs that didn’t make the last record’
Thank you for the wonderful things! Yes! I love love it Bry! Excellent! I’d listen to this all day! I’d love to record with you! I’ll do background vocals! 🙂 God bless you!
kind of you to say.. and I started this podcast because recording has simply disappeared. I was unemployed for four years almost because of lockdowns.. concerts haven’t come back very strong, and nobody has a CD player in their car anymore.. not sure I will ever do another project at this point. I do hope to record a few that I’m posting on here.. to give away with a donation..
Would rather listen to this than the stuff they call worship music
Hi Coach .. thanks I decided I can whine or write something else.. still.. not likely to make radio.. hence the podcast idea.. when I do record this officially with a decent mix I’ll be offering these songs on here with a donation to the podcast of any size
Enjoyed it this was some much better than stuff we sing at church for worship
thanks.. I got both of your votes! LOL
I could worship to that! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Greg I knew you’d like it.. hope I can play it again ‘Live’
Love it…Great worship song!!
Hi Gene good to know.. not sure what we’ll do with it but when I get a real recording I’ll be offering it to you for supporting my work from the start
I just wanna say Thank a you for this wonderful thing! Keep Singing!
always somethin else to add to that list..thanks for signin in
“Wonderful Things” is wonderful. Thank you for sharing this song with us!
hope to record it soon.. glad you like it.. maybe we could get the Temptations to sing on it! LOL
Beautiful & could be so easily sung at church.
not sure if people would sing the whole song as it has verse chorus bridge and breakdown in it.. worship teams don’t know how to do that LOL
That was refreshing, Bryan. At one point I thought I was going to hear something like, “But it was just my ‘magination,” ha. This was unexpectedly “sweet,” really. I was expecting to hear more scorching vocals, but I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a gentle, humble prayer from a disciple of Jesus who wasn’t touting his/her own godliness, but rather the goodness of God. Thank you. 🙂
LOL.. Ima record this for real real soon. we’ll dial it up.. maybe add yer lyric Ideas, LOL But worship music is designed for people who can’t scorch the vocal! LOL personally I thought the lyrics were pretty clever by themselves!~ thanks for sharing and givin my a smile DS
That was excellent, Brother Bryan! I thought I was driving with the windows down around Idlewild in Lake County! That’s the closest place to Motown near me.
Hey man, can I call you Hage Man? I give nick names to most of my friends.. thanks for the encouragement
That’s a lot better than some of my other nicknames! GBU, Bryan!
Love it Dude!
Add some horns ,sax, and a good base line and you’ve got a winner !
Want more !!
Thanks I shall do what I can afford! LOL I have another one Ima post soon called “Best That I Can Do” sounds like the perfect follow up to your suggestions.. thanks fer signing in DW preacher ate it!
Just got back from the gym. I sat down, closed my eyes and listened to this song. I love it! It is a reflection of my mantra – to live a life of gratitude for all God has done for me. So, thank YOU Brian for another way to help me tell Him “Thank you”!
encouraging to hear from you .. and incrimination to know you got to the gym! LOL Thanks for signing the guest bookl
Very nice Bryan. I can groove to that. We need a full project of this stuff.
well not sure that’ll happen but I’m willing! Thanks for checking in Brian
Really enjoyed this!! Would sound good with the ‘neho soul’ outfit. Jammin sounds – will keep listening!!
man I’d love to do this again somewhere with a whole band!~
It enough “O’s” in smoooooooth!
Cool song!
I could get behind that kind of worship music for sure! Enough of the Prozac music! ….anyway thanks for sharing this with us.
I wish I could find a church who’d do it.. none that I know are willing they’re staying with the stock Corporate approach because it is a proven model
You should be in charge of worship services. This was spectacular my friend! More please
Churches don’t wanna stray from the stock corporate worship these days But I keep asking God if he has anything else for me! LOL
I love this! Thank you!
Hi Sharyn, I saw your contribution too. thought maybe you only liked that chat with my wife.. it wasn’t planned but man, God is telling me ‘turn here… turn here’ … and I thought I knew where we were going!
Lol! I agree – no prozac worship songs! (though I’ve been guilty) Great song!!
thanks for the compliments! Kuehl of you to say too! LOL
Lol! May I send that song to my husband? – he would love it!!
sure check yer email… keep in mind its a rough live rehearsal for the most part
Ditto everyone else here- Mo o dat!!
Nobody grooves gospel like you, Bryan D! I’d love a whole album of smooth Motown or jazz worship from you!
thanks for exploring last years posts! LOL lot o stuff I’d love to do if I had a nickel! LOL but I can send you the mp3 copy just for a comment
WOW!!! That was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed that… Prozac?!? that pretty much describes most of the modern Praise and Worship music. I’m the backup bass player in my Church, my 61 yr old back can’t handle it more often than that…If you would release a whole album of worship music like this, I know there would be a market for it, all that’s not the primary concern, but I know most men in the Church would probably be more engaged in the P&W. It made me think of several songs of the same or similar genera. The chorus reminded me of Sugar Ray’s “Every Morning” at one point. Which of course immediately made me think of “Suavecito” by Malo…then I started hearing a little bit or “All Day Music” by War… I was a little kid when two of those songs came out, one of my favorite eras of music…You really made my day Brother Bryan…
I was hopin a few WT people would try the song out.. I played it once at Smoky Robinsons church in LA .. got a standing ovation! hard to get visibility without money
