  1. I just last week preached a message called Think Before You Speak. It pairs perfectly with this Nutshell Sermon. Great word for folks to remember. The toothpaste is out of the tube and can’t be put back in is classic!

  2. Twitter Is a place with so much negativity and it rubs off sometimes. I catch myself writing things and then I have to delete because I know it’s either wrong or just doesn’t need to be said. Ugh!

  3. Peanut gallery comment, love you Bryan, I think you are a great guy, and you’re voice is amazing. I think Matthew Ward, Toby Mac and you should pair up some time, would be a vocal birthday cake experience.

    1. Hi Jim, I shall take that under advisement. don’t see much of either of em these days. and gettin concerts to come back has been a dismal effort. that’s why I hada start doin somethin else as a second line of work.. I love it don’t get me wrong

  4. Another nutshell sermon hit between they eyes!
We had a “Toothpaste” moment in our family text message this week. Could have gotten weird, but I didn’t freak out over it, and everyone else was able to breathe a sigh of relief. Sometimes we have to pick our battles!

  5. Great post! I’ll make this short, there was a time I was waiting at our church to pick up my kids. I was writing in my journal about this lady at church who had turned her nose up at me as I gave my “gambling with Jesus” testimony at a Wednesday night service (ask me about it sometime) anyway I named her in my writing and said she was such a hypocrite.
Putting my journal in my backpack, I gathered my children and went home.
The next morning she called my house to say she had found my journal sitting on the table at the church.
Panicked, I raced to the church to retrieve it. On the way the Lord dealt with me about what I had done and I knew I would have to tell her what I had done.
Arriving I met her, told her I’d written about her attitude towards me in my journal and apologized asking for her forgiveness. She gave it, and I left.
To this day, I believe Jesus made my journal pass through my backpack, cause I know I put it in my bag.
Lesson learned, and now I use code when writing about someone, no more names.

    1. I know this one.. except I posted dirty laundry about a church group on the church bulletin board when I was in Jr. High thinking I was doing the right thing! God me kicked out of the “Royal Rangers” a church Boy Scout group!

  6. Some gold nuggets in this nutshell. I was thinking last night I wonder what would happen if I did what Paul suggest to just cut out our tongue. it would probably lead to some harsh tweets and posts. showing grace to others and displaying humility are traits much needed in this world

  7. Yeah I think I commented on that in Twitter. If ya ain’t got nothing nice to say do say anything at all. BTW also think I mentioned , that the a possible twist on: “Love thy neighbor as thyself”. In the ancient Hebrew, yes I speak Hebrew now for the last 30 years. You can interpret that verse as”Love thy neighbor as I love you” see the word yourself isn’t there. Rather “like you” כמוך . Let’s face it makes it a bit more challenging, and who can look in the mirror and say “I love you” kinda weird and ego building.

  8. I once read – we judge ourselves by our best intentions and others by their worst offenses.
    I’m guilty.

  9. Wow Bryan… I have never listened to a podcast before. No longer a newbie at this.
Cool beans and hello from Upstate NY.
I will catch more of yours now

  10. Everytime we complain about ourselves we are actually saying God made a mistake or He didn’t create us right. Ouch

  11. I’ve done this so many times…you think I’d learn. Something that has made me think twice (sometimes) is the consequences. When I say something that I harsh or offends, I try to properly apologize and make it right. That’s a painful process. I learn from pain. From the back row…

  12. You’re cute Bryan and you said you were a youngster who was constantly mischievous…that’s a combination you never grow out of…you’re also sweet and have a soft side which makes it hard to take a stand….it’s shocking that people who come to your concert don’t know who you are Bryan, you handle that really well with such humor…you’re forgiven for your moods just keep your sunny side up and the tide will stop crashing! I love ❤️ your inspiration ❤️

  13. Wow that’s a really popula sin among Christian..another is gossip.. they’re both pretty hurtful but not as bad as slam dunkng just loud enough for them to be hear you…I have the same sin, it’s addictive
