  1. The only time I have flew in a plane was when I was 3 months old. Of course no memory of that. But listening to your story was like being on a run away roller coaster lol I would have pee’d myself if that happened to me. One thing since I haven’t been on a plane since, I can’t die in a plane crash.
I am so happy and grateful you are still here to talk about it.
And seeing your kids with your grandkids now etc.
Those are the memories that last.
Thanks for sharing these stories SFOM.

    1. OH MY! great story. Makes you appreciate the relationships and loved ones. The intangibles become the most important…

  2. Wow, what a great story. And yes, a hundred times yes I believe in what you’re doing. I know that there are people out there, the disenfranchised, the lunatics and new believers who need what you bring to the table. I know t I’m one of them, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
    P.S. I’m glad you didn’t die.

  3. Since my husband is a trucker I feel I most say “always pick the truck”. Praise Jesus you made it through that and thanks for sharing

  4. Bryan, what a story!! God wasn’t done with you guys yet, and you’re still a fantastic talent, blessing many with your gifts! Hope to see you again, my friend. Phil Lugo, OnBendedKnee

  5. Oh my gosh Bryan! I had my mouth hanging open in disbelief the entire time I was listening to your story!!! Wow! I’d love to talk to you more about that experience and ask you some questions. I am so thankful God was not ready to take you home that day and that you lived to see your red haired inspiration come into the world as well as the others!

  6. every year I appreciate more and more your gift with words. lyrics, stories, nutshell sermons. your spiritual gift may not be encouragement but the words you speak and sing are encouraging to me.

  7. Oh am I glad you made it through that and I know you! There’s been a lot that we lost in plane crashes. But God had his hand on that plane that day and I’m happy he did.. hugs my friend and thank you for theses podcasts!

  8. I know it wasn’t funny at the time when it was happening, but I was laughing the whole time you were telling it LOL can’t help it I go back and forth to Illinois several times a year from North Carolina, and I can’t even stand it when the turbulence hits LOL so I can only imagine what y’all were thinking for having sake!! By the way, whatever happened to the pilot?? LOL

    1. thing is I didn’t remember his name and I didn’t know anyone who knew him. I don’t think he was terribly injured but there was no one to call to check on him. but then I wasn’t happy bout any of my decisions leading up to meeting him either

      1. what choice do you have LOL..I couldn’t approve comments while i was in Sweden.. but I got to read your comments. I always love hearing from you.. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

  9. All I have to say is WOW!!! What an experience. You made it ok, but my question is, did you hear whatever happened to the pilot?

  10. That has to be one of the funniest, yet harrowing, stories I’ve ever heard! That in itself is a movie! God truly had his hand on you boys. Remind me to tell you (seriously) about the preminition I had at Light one day when you guys were on the road. God works in mysterious ways…..I’m so grateful you all were safe and believe it or not, I was praying for you.

  11. Wow!! Amazing story bro. God still had an awesome plan for you. Your music/ministry has blessed me for 35+years. I remember when you came and did a concert in Modesto, CA. My uncle was the pastor. You played basketball with all of us. So fun!

You also had my buddies Ron Hemby and Jimmie Lee (Imperials) singing some BGVs on Holy Rollin in one of your CA concerts. They loved it!
I’m now traveling the country leading souls to Jesus through my own music ministry.
Thank you for the seeds you sowed my brother. I am eternally grateful. You profoundly touched my life.

    1. Wow Gary.. after all these years of not really knowing what the impact of our efforts would produce, it’s great to hear from you and some of your story! Thanks man.. makes my day

  12. Holy cow! Sounds like that was a very close call! So glad you walked (or slogged) away from it. The world would be a lesser place had your music (and nutshell sermons) been snuffed out that day.

    1. Good to hear from you Cliff! thanks for the encouragement.. I never saw Nutshells comin’ and it was hard to realize that my recording of projects might be over. My concerts are coming back a little but being willing to do whatever is next hasn’t been a comfortable ride that’s for sure

  13. Oh, Bryan! God had your hand on you that day. And I’m sure you have other stories to tell. My husband used to fly us from Montana to San Luis Obispo and back and we would hit turbulence. I knew we were going to die that very moment. I prayed and held on tight. I still hate the turbulence, but I still fly. He works for the airlines so we can fly cheap, which is nice so we can see our grandkids in Colorado more often. Grandkids are fun. You know that, too.

I almost drowned when I was six, but here I am 63 years later. I know other ways He’s saved me, and I’m sure there are ways I don’t know because of choices I made. So glad you’re still around with your music and your nutshell sermons. I’m also glad to be a friend. Hugs

    1. and then Robbin.. I landed in Palm Springs yesterday in the middle of a hurricane gone rogue! LOLI couldn’t approve comments while i was in Sweden.. but I got to read your comments. I always love hearing from you.. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

    1. Hi Lisa, just got home!I couldn’t approve comments while i was in Sweden.. but I got to read your comments. I always love hearing from you.. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

  14. I have to say, it took me tuning in to “see if you made it” to listen to your first podcast. Since I now know that you “are all right,” I’ll probably listen to some more of them. It’s good that you managed to not end up like your pilot. Did he wake up & live another day? BTW~ Keaggy thinks you & Stonehill are crazy. Think that’s why you are friends. Fellow Lunatics Club. Dig ya!!
My first album is hopeful for December release.
    A lot different than SCB.

    1. I had no contact info for him.. never heard what happened.. I don’t think he was hurt too bad.. just unconscious. or we might have heard.I couldn’t approve comments while i was in Sweden.. but I got to read your comments. I always love hearing from you.. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

  15. Absolutely so thankful God chose to keep you here for a few more years, a few more numbers! Really blessed by your former and current ministries!
