  1. Sharing some of the forgetfulness would be nice. I don’t remember a lot of things, but you’re right, the things done against me, they pop up in my head at the mere thought.

    1. I think the fact that we don’t forget is so that maybe we learn to not get ourselves into the same situation with someone that allows for getting hurt or whatever. Wisdom with experience. When I remember those occasions I realize that I’m to focused on “me”. Orthopedic shoes help..

  2. I hate when something comes up in my mind that makes me upset all over again. I keep thinking of ways I should have handled something better. And I also hate when I think about the things I’ve done that God’s forgiven and forgotten. Just can’t forget sometimes. His amazing love for us.

  3. Oh Man! Imagine my disappointment that you didn’t have a how to on actually making the forgiveness happen and not having the issue resurface again, and again, and again…
Guess I need to remember to be grateful God isn’t like that-one time for all!

  4. I heard awhile back, at an appropriate moment, that forgiveness is a process. You may have to forgive the same person for the same thing over and over. Seems right to me, every time some hurtful something comes back to my mind I have to forgive again …what’s really annoying is when the forgiveness has to happen minutes apart. I guess that’s why your lyric ” I’m in slow revival from a rude awakening” resonates so strongly with me.

  5. Great reminder of why we can’t kill people .. lol!

I tried and tried to forgive my oldest brother and it wouldn’t happen … I prayed and prayed and after 47 years I finally felt God say “OK now!” So I said it and I haven’t felt hatred since … it’s amazing … but I’m still working on forgiving all the other people who have offended me … hopefully those won’t take as long 🙂
