  1. So experts say(and my wife) that with social media, and technology today we are forced to take in everything in bits and pieces which has caused us to stop thinking deeply. Everything is out of context. So we we’ve lost sight of purpose. Now when someone publishes an article they start it with TLDR. Just like the bible,TLDR, now everyone is taking a verse and coming to all kinds of conclusions. Bryan your 100% correct, we need to change our glasses, and try to focus on the deeper or more distant picture. Maybe a quiet prayer in a closet.. read that somewhere as well. What is God’s purpose? Whew!

    1. I heard a new phraze yesterday.. Doom Scrolling! I’ve been doing that for the last month.. stopping at every nightmare video clip of hate, anger, misinformation, and destruction. I start to see all the wrong things. Keep looking up

      1. Hey Bryan, Focus depends on our “perceptions”, and what we have experienced! We project that, I pray to fall on my knees a d cry out..Lord c let see what you see..give me Your vision , Here I am Lord, yes in need of corrective lenses both spiritual and physical! Thanks my lunatic friend! Good one!!

      2. Well I’ve been watching the news on multiple networks US, Several Israeli, European etc… its depressing. 90% is propaganda and out right lies.. so don’t go down the rabbit hole. As you say: look up!

  2. I know it’s “Step by Step” with God, but there are times when a decent roadmap with my destination circled on it would be nice . “Maybe This Time” I’ll pay attention to what He says and end up in a “Safe Harbor “. Who knows, as long as I stay “Faithful to You” Lord, I know “There’s No Stoppin’ Now”.
Thanks Bryan for the podcast, another good one sir!

  3. They really mislabeled social media. It is far from social. In fact, there are studies out now that say people are more lonely, more depressed and lack any social interraction due to social media. It makes it hard to stay focused on the real stuff in life including God.

    1. amen Roger… I hope I’m creating a fellowship here on nutshellsermons that brings the ‘disenfranchised’ together in an honest approach. I do appeal to long time church goers who don’t feel like they’re included even in a ‘Fellowship’

  4. Happy Evening of All Hallows. This is the evening of All Saints Day. Let’s reclaim it for the Lord especially in being kind and giving Christian messages to children.

  6. Believe me, seek the Lord and you will find him. It is the most important relationship in your life. Just walk and talk alone with Him. He will direct your path. It is about being transformed by the renewing of your mind. Keep seeking, keep walking with Him. It will happen.

  7. My new glasses would be a pair to see me how others see me and a second pair would be to see them as the LORD sees them. ‘Nuff said.

  8. Somehow I missed this one. I remember the saying, “Glance at the circumstance and gaze on Jesus.” It’s so easy to gaze on the negative stuff. Why do we do that? I know as I go through Twitter, I stop at all the ugly stuff, too. Just like everyone slows down for the accident and backs up all the traffic. Trying not to do that anymore, but it can be hard. All it does is make me angry, feel sorry for people, and focus on the negative. I do, however, see those in need and pray for those who ask for it. And I try to go back to see how things are going with those families.
And I was really laughing out loud when you talked about the road map. I remember a few times where I was writing down instructions, and I miss heard something, and wrote down the wrong thing, so I got lost. When GPS first came out, it was obviously not perfect. I followed it to the t and it got me to a dead end. Sometimes directions aren’t clear. But God’s book of directions is pretty clear if we would only follow his instructions.
