  1. Thank you Byran! I am here at my desk laughing out loud. This was so funny. I wish I could have seen it!!

  2. Man! I loved this one! Thanks again for sharing my friend. The quote, “Anything you can talk someone into, the devil can talk them out of.” really hit home. So good!
    Thanks again!

  3. That’s pretty cool that God led you to a voice coach rather than to surgery. Who knows what would have happened after surgery.
And I was trying to picture you falling into the orchestra pit and maybe yelling out loud “I might need to be more of a Methodist than a Pentecostal.”
Instead of a bolt of lightning it was a traffic signal… Not as harsh, but you got the message.

  4. Lol and just when you think you’ve heard it all LOL well you said you were dressed almost like a clown, then you rolled around and clowned around, and then you fell like a clown LOL right into the orchestra !! did you ever get the impression you were just trying a little too hard?? That’s always been my problem LOL but hindsize 2020

  5. Thank you for listening to God and changing directions with your music, I know I am a person who had “held on to my faith” because of it. Everyone of your albums have taken me through some very dark times.

  6. That’s was great.. had to listen twice cause I was imagining you rolling around on the stage in crazy colors.
We used to call those little talking points with people, faith by the numbers. If you managed to get through all the points list, you had a good change that someone would get saved. I went on teen missions, when I was a kid to England. Lots of memories. Learning verses by heart and the faith by the numbers stuff outline when talking to people. All the catch phrases and pre-cooked answers…. good stuff Bryan.. Glad God does things his way…

  7. Bryan, we actors always had to warm up the same way, whether just speaking on stage or singing, it was the same thing. Now my throat is almost thrashed from a cold and I might be in a musical this Christmas, that’s a big “might” and I intend to go back to those warm ups, but nothing touched me more than Lunatic Friend. That was an important album at that time in my life. Thank you for it.

    1. I too am having to do voice warm ups cold and dry climates are having a greater impact on me in my old age. That and not singing a lot since the pandemic era.. thanks for hangin with me James

    2. Greetings, James. You’re an actor. How interesting, and risky. How do you get on in such a cut throat industry as a Christian? I wish you much success.

  8. Wow B That’s funny and amazing cause if you could get in your car that day and be propelled back to the future style into almost any local store you would have felt at home. The rainbows of hair colors, the 275 lb guys with long painted nails on and your store stock person fully bearded with a long pleated skirt on.Some times i want to get a bag of popcorn and sit in a lawn chair in front of these places and enjoy the show cause you can’t make this stuff up ! Yeah man you would have felt quite at home leaving that store in 1986 and hopping in the hoopty delorian and transporting to today 2023 ! Who knows someone might see that outfit today and say ” YO MAN THAT’S WHATS UP. WHAT YOU GOT ON DOG IS CUTTING EDGE !

  9. Immensely enjoying these mini-retrospectives. I’ve been listening through each CD (yeah, I’m old too) as you tell the stories. Crazy how I still not only remember every song, but still know exactly which song is coming next without looking. You got me through my high school and college years and beyond and you’re still having an impact. Keep it up!

    1. Hi Todd, man I recall feeling like we were even noticed in a greater world.. it would be decades before I would even get a sense of what God was doing around us! Honored to have you on board with me too

  10. Love the pic.So glad your vocal coach gave you really great advice to last you a lifetime. Arpeggios and scales really pay dividends. Btw ( an abreviation I learned from you yanks) , I love colour. There some false religious beliefs that ban colour, that God created. Jesus trained his apostles via an apprenticeship, not a uni degree. He left them to make mistakes and learn from them, much to their chagrin. Whistling in the dark was my first Gospel album, recommended to me by a friend at church, and they could not have been more right.I could not believe this good looking guy, posterised on the cover of the cassette, such high quality, well written, beautifully produced music with a lived message. Thanks for letting me share.
