  1. Love these Podcasts. They really are sermons full of wisdom. Wrapped in humor and a heart seeking Him and finding. Always keep seeking, asking, knocking and finding!

  2. “Unfinished sentences…”
I find that it is important to sit with the Lord and listen for Him to speak, even though (and it’s embarrassing to say) I don’t practice this nearly as much as I should.
Thankfully, He isn’t like me, saying, “I told you so.” He’s patient, loving and kind. Like how I am with my grandchildren now, (again, embarrassing to say, but I wasn’t nearly as patient with their parents)
Thanks for the reminder my friend, it was needed.

  3. So now you got me thinking of Jon Fugler’s book, Silence Your Inner Pharisee: Ditch Performance and Embrace Radical Freedom in Christ. Rather than putting God on a to-do list, you just do and not make it a chore. It’s a time to get together with Him and actually listen, unlike what you were saying on how we read it and then just leave it without waiting for him to say anything. To get to know someone, you spend time with them. It is a two-way conversation.

  4. Burrito with more sauce than meat. Isn’t that how you fix dry meatloaf? Where’s,the ketchup? I struggle with the morning ritual of prayer. Sometime I sit quiet, but my daily worries sneak in and I find myself wandering. Faith and pragmatism…I think James gave quite the lecture on that: James 2:14-26. Faith without works is dead, and vice versa. Strong nutshell there… thanks

  5. I’m not sure why sitting before God and waiting to hear Him is so hard. Some of it I am sure is busyness but more often I feel unworthy. I often think of how my son would curl up and sit on my lap. So when I try to sit and wait on him I imagine myself curling up on his lap where he offer unlimited love to me. makes me wonder why I don’t spend more time at his feet or in his lap. if you don’t mind passing on that pdf to me I’d appreciate it

  6. This is 100% correct. It took me a long time to realize this myself. We have to listen very closely to hear God. Sometimes this is very hard to do, but it is worth it. Keep up the great work.

  7. Hal Lindsey in his Youtube series on Romans, especially his episode 9,10 and 11, answers this question. It centres on God and grace and faith as opposed to God vs grace vs faith. I must admit that verse in James re ” so you believe, well even the demons believe and tremble: show me your works’ and Paul’s in Ephesions 2: 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast” have not appeared as a dichotomy to me. It is a matter of putting the horse before the cart. Faith is received by grace alone, but that faith gives rise to the impetus to please God alone and one’s service to Him on a daily basis is an outwork of same as we strive to be more like Him.

  8. Hi BRYAN, I’d love a copy of your Spoke to God, He said book. Looking forward to more advice from a like-minded, life-long follower of Christ. Thanks a million!
