  1. You worked hard for the money. You worked hard for the money.
My youngest daughter decided it was time for her to move out at 18. So she did, not very far away. We were just close enough to help her if she needed it. Not much monetarily, but other things. After a year, she moved back in because she had spent her savings, forgetting that when you move out you have to pay for bills, food, rent, etc. When she moved back, she did have a job and was very responsible, to my surprise. She’s the one I worried about the most and she has done very well for herself and her family. She has two adorable kids and she’s actually a better homemaker than I ever was. And she cooks.
Okay I’ve gone too far. I had a surprise party when I turned 60. I like your idea about better presents. That was funny.

  2. I’ve felt the same way…where’s the party. I’m sure if I search hard enough, I’ll find it. Like in high school, sometimes you had to drive around to find it, but you knew there was one happening.
    Another Prodigal!

    1. thanks yes, I came home to one at my house once.. 300 high school kids!!! my daughter said she was gonna have about 8 friends over, so we left her at home alone! it would NEVER happen again! LOL

  3. Definitely a story of forgiveness. I always worry about my legacy and what I leave behind. I guess that’ll be for the kids to figure out. You mentioned prayer for your health…. No problem. Consider it done….

  4. Wow! Do I relate to this one! Still worried about how my 3 will make it, altho it is improving. Don’t you sometimes wish you could make all your kids’ decisions for them? When I think this I immediately remember how I reacted when my parents thought they knew better than me. Sometimes I’m still not sure how much I should back off…ah well…
