  1. Bryan, this was pretty cool! I think that the politicians of today’s world are this. And a ton of other Folks. We have to be careful of what we do and say. Just we should do as Jesus commands us to do. There’s so much truth in this. Thanks for always putting great content out! I really ENJOY IT!

    1. wow you called it great content thanks for the kudos .. sometimes I think I’m just ramblin’ and yea, I follow Jesus because when he talks about purity I think it’s just over the top .. I tryin hard not to get sucked into politics and pundents they’ll take you to hell with em

  2. Lol haven’t we all been a little pharisee sometimes. Probably more than we like to admit.
“Fair-A-See” lol nothing fair about it and everyone can see it lol
Here is me saying something nice to you..LOL my favorite rock star who is a bit snarky and sarcastic and has lots of wisdom mixed in with all that humor. Best of all you are a SFOM!
that is a little nutshell right there. Haha

    1. Thanks for hearing and then doing what you say! LOL Linda Oh… most of the time I have no idea where my thoughts are gonna go.. but there’s enough random thoughts to keep my head on fire. Yer my #1 encourager

  3. Music hath charms to soothe a savage breast..
I can be in a crowd

To talk with God, He is Emmanuel
When I close my eyes no darkness there
There’s only light.. I gnat on my knees..
Im breakin the pride in my heart..
on my knees.. let me be broken..
I don’t want to be King Saul, I wanna be David soothing the savage breast..

  4. The paradox, of course, is that the Saducees did not believe in the resurection and the Pharisees did. So they killed the Resurrection and the Life, because He did not fit within their narrow paradigm.

  5. Jesus grew up on the teachings of those pharisees, I have learned from them ove the past 30 years. A lot of what Jesus taught has deep roots in those teachings, he called them out on the hypocrisies. The fact is that there is a lot of wisdom in the old laws which are in fact derived and based on the the first 5 books of the bible we all read. So let’s not throw the baby out with the bath water.
It saddens me that a lot of those versus are now used in an “antisemitic” text. I know that that not you. Please don’t miss understand.
As you said, I too am sitting in the back row. In the end we need to be more righteous than the sages and pharisees. That’s a tough act to follow…

    1. I would never throw the Old Testament out.. I’ve seen people do that. Yer absolutely right. Jesus was angry with those of us who tell everyone what to do and then don’t do it themselves.. like I said “it’s fair to say there’s a little Pharisee in all of us” I’m astonished at how bold Antisemites are.. not sure how the Jews don’t return the favor.

      1. Well it’s a double standard for Jews.. it is what it is. Thank God he showed his mercy on me, and opened my eyes to his redemption

  6. That was nice and I think that you’re nice too 🙂
And you weren’t even trying to be Mr Nice Guy, no more Mr Clean! Just saying it like it is, what most people are thinking, but won’t say out loud (or preach).
You know, I used to be such a sweet, sweet thing
‘Til they got a hold of me. I opened doors for little old ladies, I helped the blind to see. I got no friends ’cause they read the papers. They can’t be seen with me and I’m gettin’ real shot down. And I’m feeling mean …
Not really me, but that’s what another PK said and it seemed relevant eh.

  7. Been there, done that, still wear the t-shirt. Why is it so easy to point out everyone else’s sin, while hardly noticing my own? Maybe my phylactery is a coffee table sized one and has slipped down over my eyes.
Great content sir, and thanks for sharing, and making me think.

    1. LOL There’s a great visual right there DF… My phylactery has slipped over my eyes!~ wish I woulda thought of it. I like being a speck inspector LOL diversionary tactic.. so you don’t notice my plank!

  8. Mr. Nice Guy (aka My Lunatic Friend),

I was just musing this morning, as my mind was meandering, while parked in the pew on my blessed assurance, wouldn’t it be nice if we were bolder, then we wouldn’t have to wait so long, for you to go ask Alice, who I think you know, to go on tour together eh?

Two PKs, One Hope, Welcome to My Nightmare, My Lunatic Friend, His Lightness, Our Darkness.

Yer both about the same vintage, so you can hold each other up during (& after) the shows, physically and prayerfully. It’s as easy as AC/BD (looks like ABCD if you’re dyslexic eh).

Heh, put the fleece out, pray about it, and call me up when you’re in Toronto, I have lots of friends that I can ding at any time, Can mobilize some laughs with just one call, Like a bunch of lunatics we’ll act till way past dawn, Sure we’ll be rockin’ till our strength is gone, Yeah this beat goes on, And on, and on, and on …

  9. May you not see as the phari-sees. Yesterday’s game was hard to watch but my Chiefs pulled it off. They have a habit of coming from behind. I picked the refs by 4. I was close. The modern version of ‘Pharisee’ is “Reverend”. Your droppings. lol Good one!

    1. yesterdays super bowl was predictable in the way of scripting .. underdog comes from behind to win in the final minutes.. I haven’t trusted the NFL since they made Gambling legal
