  1. This is a beautiful song about loneliness and reaching out to God for comfort and direction…

  2. This is an awesome song and hit me hard today. I know you meet a lot of people, but you met my wife here in Columbus, Ohio at a concert at Faith Community Church of God. I was supposed to be there but because of my MS I couldn’t. You recorded a special video message to me that means the world to me. Recently our family has been going through some major crisis with my daughter that has torn our family apart. I’ve spent the last week being yelled at for the stand that I’ve had to take on Biblical principles. I’m packed and ready to go lead music at a Camp Meeting this next week with a broken heart and this song portrays my prayer exactly. Your ministry through the years has been exactly what I’ve needed, right when I’ve needed it. The video message you sent, this song, and the podcast messages. Thank the Lord for His call and hand on your life. Keep allowing Him to use you.

    1. Hi Pastor Rob! My dad was a pastor.. had nowhere to take his admissions of lack either… challenges have never been so outrageous as today/ I struggle somewhere between understanding Retribution and Retaliation.. how much leeway to we give others that oppose us.. God told me this morning “Speak softly.. and let me carry the big stick”! hard to do LOL Romans today was talkin about how we all get back what we measure out…

  3. One of the things I always loved about your music is that it was REAL. Not the – since I found Jesus my life is perfect stuff that has no basis in my reality. I called them struggle songs.
Most of my walk has been a battle to live up to who I claim I am.
Always liked this song because it hit home with me.

    1. hI Hutch..I too liked you immediately when you shared where God told you against what you actually did ROFL.. I still tell that story to others .. anonymously of course. you’ve been a reassurance to me that there is Grace we know not of..

          1. Thanks.. sort of God monopoly
And btw, glad to be of use in God’s plans. I can rarely see the big picture .. just a cog in the wheel.

  4. What can I say? This song *as so many of your others * is played often because I feel this way often. I think about how in my life there is more separation than not and oh yes, it’s not a simple need for company…it’s a soul deep loneliness. I love this song.

  5. I like this from many points. Not sure why it would not be not considered for airplay. Love the percussion, drums, melody and cord voicing. There were many hits that had this style of approach. “Red Rain” by Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins “another day in paradise ” Toto , they all convey an atmosphere setting for the lyrics. I am digging it. I also love to compose music. I have been away for various reasons, but broke out the Hannon books, devoting time to get the chops back and get back in.

    1. Nice to hear from you RO! looks like yer first drive by on the nutpod.. thanks for sharing.. Sounds like good company for me to be in, I’ve often been disheartened that they were in a place to be heard and trusted more than I have been. The editing in CCM is much more severe
