Hey Hargis! first time I’ve seen you on the nut pod! thanks for sounding off!
in the end.. I quit a marriage too.. not on purpose but it didn’t go forever
This is great album! Have it on my regular rotation. You guys still had magic. Wished it had radio airplay back when it was released. It deserved to be heard by more people. All In God’s Hands, Where Do We Go From Here, and Something Else is Going Kn Here are my faves!
I am excited to hear this. I loved Sweet Comfort, and I loved your solo albums. Our kids grew up with you, and they all especially loved “It’s 8:15 and 81’s the gate to catch United to Chicago for a concert date…” I familiarized them with your other work over time, so you are a multigenerational favorite in our family. Perhaps some of our grandchildren will come to know Sweet Comfort reorganized.
thanks it’s a better record than 30 years ago, cause we know who needs to do the different aspects of a music project. Producer helped a lot.. look up Big Jim Wright on google.. he was number one.. and Kevin’s son Eli Thomson also a bass player filled in for his late dad. also has enourmous talents in production and arrangement. but then I’ll tell the stories comin next
Hi Helen… I’ll send you an email with the info btw if you want Mp3 copies of the songs I’ll be posting them on here. you can simply request songs individually and I will email the Mp3 to you for free!
This project with all the songs is so good.
I love how you write your lyrics. They might not be off the cuff but they are proof you are a lyric master.
I would love to write as well as you do.
Thank you for sharing your gift with the world
thanks Linda… the lyrics to Rock Solid were mostly jim Wright’s.. I didn’t like em to start with but the simplicity of em was great on stage.. only song I did in my Solo gigs
Thanks for giving some context about how the album came about. My family lived and served as cross-cultural missionaries in Russia for many years. While we were flying back to Russia from furlough in Oklahoma at the end of May 2010, Kevin passed and I learned about it within 24 hours after we landed in our city of service (Ufa). I think Dana Key also passed right around the time I was coming out of jetlag from that trip. Those were a rough couple of days of grieving the loss of Kevin and Dana.

Great nutshell. I will say a band is like a marriage. Which I always had a problem with. God bless you Bryan.
