Love it. So good. Yes you could do music like Kansas. But your vocals are so good you are just as good and more so than many of those other singers.
They aren’t better than …
Hope you never think that.
Your vocals are so perfect. Soulful and smooth and loud when screaming haha
You are a rock star and never forget that
hard to be a rock star with little girls callin you grampa! LOL
I do hope you are playing these for those beautiful granddaughters!
Hi B Long! they’re not ready LOL .. they’re Swifties.. wouldn’t get grampa’s sound.. they do know that I scream alot in front of a piano LOL
This sounds so so good! Hey, you may have kids calling grandpa but you still got it! Your voice is still spot on and so is your playing. Never say die! Your voice is one of a kind and many old rockers can’t still sing like they used but you can brother! Keep on rockin! Keep on keeping it soulful! You do you!
kind of you to say.. at my age tho I like lower keys and more sentimental thoughts on life.. just good to know that Could if I would!

Love this. Very different vocally & musically!
we always did at least one for the sake of remindin ourselves we could rock if we wanna
YES!!!! Oh Kanas! Great song. I love Rock. When’s the concert?
I don’t see one on the horizon! lOL
I love this one Bryan!
thanks Joseph! more songs comin’
This is so good, Bryan!! I think you could sing any genre of music and sound amazing. Thank you for sharing these songs with us.
By the way, I call dibs on standing next to you when we get to heaven and sing praises to Jesus! 😉
thanks for the compliments RS .. you do know I’ll be on the back row in heaven too! LOL
God gave you some amazing gifts! Some of us just have a wish list. L O L.
oh trust me I have other wishes too.. just found one talent I could do! Val.. none of us are good at everything.. Glad you can see my one trick
This has been one of my faves since I don’t know when. I started listening to CCM in 2020 and I’d heard this long before. It was rock with a gentle touch and your vocals with the chord progression was great. Thanks for doing a song I know!
Wow Jane E you continue to surprise.. never assume chicks like Rock! LOL
Listened to this when I was in India doing missionary work with pastor seminars. Walkman while riding in a rickshaw on the way to the soccer stadium every day. n thanks for your first comment here on the Nut Pod
wow what an intersting visual of where my songs would end up! LOL thanks for your service by the way.. and not just in my direction!
THIS ONE RIGHT HERE I WORE THE CASSET TAPE OUT . SIMPLY LOVED THIS ALBUM YOUR VOCALS WERE RIGHT AND TIGHT HERE ! BACK THEN I THOUGHT THIS WAS A PIVOTABLE MOMENT FOR YOUR BAND ! I SAW IT AS YOU GUYS WERE VERY GOOD AND STEPING TO A WHOLE NOTHER LEVEL WITH THIS PROJECT . I DIDN’T KNOW THE BACK STORY THAT I DO NOW ON WHAT YOU AND THE BAND WAS GOING THROUGH . OFTEN WONDERED WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF YOU GUYS DID HAVE THE NECESSARY BACKING OF THE RECORD LABLE AND THE MONEY IN YOUR POCKETS THAT YOU NEEDED TO HOLD THINGS DOWN ON THE PERSONAL SIDE . IT MAY HAVE ALTERED THINGS SO DIFFERENTLY IN ONES LIFE. IT MAY HAVE ALTERED EVEN OUR ABILITY TO SIT ON THE BACK ROW WIT YA .
it was one of the main turning points.. when Randy n I were in the studio all day.. n Rick n Kevin were out workin side jobs cause after a decade we were not makin a living
I HURT FOR YOU GUYS WHEN I HEAR STUFF LIKE THAT BUT IT DEFINITELY MAKES ME APPRECIATE WHAT YOU GUYS SACRIFICED FOR THE LOVE OF THE CRAFT AND MISSION TO DO SOMETHING YOU LOVED AND WANTED TO GIVE . NOBODY ENDURES THAT LONG UNLESS THEY LOVE IT AND BELIEVE IN THE PURPOSE OF IT, BUT EVERYBODY HAS TO REALISE YOU WANTED TO PROVIDE A DECENT LIVING FROM YOUR LABORS TOO THATS ONY RIGHT TO ASSUME AND FAIR TO ASK . THANK YOU CAUSE YOU DID NOT SHORTCHANGE US AT ALL.YOU MADE US HAPPY BACK THEN AND WE STILL HAVE THOSE GEMS TO LISTEN TO TODAY ! AND HEY, WE STILL HAPPY ! THEY STOOD THE TEST OF TIME CAUSE THATS WHAT FINE JEWELS DO !!!
it’s been rewarding now to see a consistency even when we felt no value of our own..
I really like it Bryan. Your vocals are powerful. I would have this song in my phone and listen to it a lot.
Hi John I know you from way back looks like yer first comment on the nutshells thanks
Perfect Timing was my introduction to SCB and is still my favorite SCB album although i suspect it might be a tie with cutting edge. both are such great albums. It was 1985 and my first year of college. My roommate had this album. I was not hip to liner notes at the time otherwise I would’ve seen the Elefante magic in production. My college sponsored a travellings Christian band and the upper classes members heard me playing drums one evening. they mentioned this new group AD and played me the song High on a hill. we played I every flavor of church doing steve archer, amy grant, striper and a wide variety of music which at the time was still reserved for Sunday nights and I’m sure they frowned upon our long haired, ear ring wearing preacher kid playing guitar. times were much different.
I watched a drum solo by AD’s guy.. Dennis Holt back when he was playin with somebody else.. I don’t remember the band .. just the drummer! LOL rare thing right there!
Bry, you hit that out of the park! Loved it! Your voice is so strong, and all I can say is WOW!! Keep on rockin’! No matter if its Jesus Music or secular.. You are fantastic! God bless!
just noticed that you haven’t commented on here before this.. welcome to the Nut Pod hope you like my ongoing wise guy devotions! LOL
Loved it when it came out — stop loving it!!! Kerry should be proud!
thanks for the admission or maybe its a confession? LOL
Please cover “Carry on wayward son”!!!
soon as someone offers me a budget for a record of covers maybe.. I have a whole list o fav songs.. right now I’m recording three songs of my own .. new ones.. Typical Mess I’m In, If I Knew, and La Luz De Mi Vida and thanks WJ5 looks like yer first comment on the nut pod! thanks. hope you enjoy my Wise Guy Devotions too
I like it. I used to have a car with a stereo worth more than the car and I love the rocking SCB songs. I used to crank up Angel and Searchin’ for Love from Breakin’ the Ice and Hold On Tight cassettes I bought when they came out. At the time, I was searching for some rocking Christian tunes. Then when Hearts of Fire came out I loved Contender.
Hey Bob.. nice to hear from ya.. I mighta had that same first car .. powered mostly by the bass boost on the speakers
You kinda sorta did that in the song “Sweep Me Away,” and to a lesser extent perhaps on “Maybe This Time.” Fun songs! I still have that Have Yourself Committed LP.
Hey DA thanks for signing the guestbook looks like yer first time commenting.? Cool.. yea, there’s new stuff too where I get to scream like a banshee but I wasn’t all that happy with this song to start with because it wasn’t my writing.. but it’s sure great to feel the power of Rockin’ songs especially that guitar section
Bryan, you kinda sorta did that as well on “Sweep Me Away,” and to a lesser extent perhaps on “Maybe This Time.” Fun songs! I still have that Have Yourself Committed LP.
you might like “Something Else is Going On Here” from SCB’s The Waiting Is Over too it’s a prouder performance in the light of Kansas
That was phenomenal as usual!
One of the top 10 voices on planet Earth!
At this time in your life, you must look back and thank God that you were spared from singing for Satan. Just think of what you’ve been spared from.
Bob Dylan – “ you’ve gotta serve
somebody”
thanks Aden… wasn’t always a clear path tho
