I just love reading your backrow sermons every day and try to find a comment that’s just right and appropriate…I thank God for living where I do, where I have so much freedom to live the way do… not rich or poor but have the essentials to be content as I recover…to be treated for pain and future malaise. ..if I am angry I am passive aggressive which can cause heart attack I am told. Praise God for giving me a good doctor who Rx me with heart meds this week cause I was so tousled with the world !
Wow well I’m right with it then…thought I was unlike others…on the verge of a heart attack or stroke on the backrow! Now feel right at home.
.thanks Bryan!!
Maybe another thought. Hate is easier . Takes no effort. Whereas Love, well that’s something we have to work at. Love is patient love is kind, etc. a lot to work on.. one destroys while the other builds. Easier to bring down a building than to build it. Huey Lewis, great stuff. Lost his hearing suddenly has preformed in a while.
sad about Huey.. met him once. Has a ranch in Montana. some hate is justified.. about evil .. how to handle it is the bigger question.. God has more patience than I think he should
I was definitely born out of love & necessity. My mother was grieving deeply of the death of her father and being thousands miles away from family (though she was able to attend his funeral). She & my dad had been married for 10 years but had no children. Her doctor noted that she was childless and that having a child could possibly be uplifting emotionally and distracting from her grief. This is one reason God gave me life. So love comes easier for me and wanting to please God I work with The Holy Spirit to keep hatred at bay…which is easy for me…my ancestors are deeply hated within the US but all have been trained by God & Jim Crow not to retaliate with hate in order to survive. That is how I was taught too. Love provides a dignity that’s uplifting to one’s soul and provides another moment of life.
Now this past 7 months has been testing in the manner I was taught and how God wants me to walk. I have faced disappointments & deep anguish but lean on God to Prevail

I like that, The heart has it’s reasons, which reason knows nothing about. So much truth there.
Pascal’s comment not mine.. I never read him.. someone quoted it in a recent sit com! LOL

Love, God’s love is more powerful than hate.
Love can turn hate into love but hate never leads anywhere but hell.
Jesus proved love is more powerful

wow nicely said, and it causes a moment of pause.. surely as we get on our own sense of what’s right we risk humiliation
My post was sent in before I could add my name & email
I know you Nan … well said even as ‘anonymous’ I get a sense of self righteous indignation lookin at other people who’s sins don’t look like mine
All I can say is…
It was the power of love that kept Christ on the cross and without that great love, I would still be lost…yay for love!
That power sure looks invisible to the naked eye.. ‘thought he was a victim from the outside lookin’ in’
