  3. Hi Bryan
Those early years in the mid ‘70s was the first time I heard Sweet Comfort Band and met you through Pastor Bob Probert at a CC Riverside Mt. Retreat. I also remembered when you were no longer in the single male category – many girls at CC Riverside was disappointed that ended a “possibility”. “Love You with My Life”. is an all time favorite & my Cal State Northridge University collegiate friends still remember it fondly as well.

  4. Your story brought back a lot of memories of road trip mishaps, playing outdoor church festivals and mini-concerts with no shade, in Texas Heat. When you talked about the trailer incident, it reminded of the little homemade trailer we hauled for many years. One year, we had to play in Port Arthur TX, over my college Christmas break. Oddly, our bands number had increased to eight from the normal five. Only five seats in our band leaders 69 Pontiac Firebird, this was 1981. Solution, as so many young idiots might determine, three of our number would ride the 250-300 miles in the trailer. And yes, that’s illegal as far as we knew. I was lucky on the way to our destination, I got to sit in the car. But on the way back , it was may turn to ride back in the trailer, and the temps had gone down to the 40’s, the trailer was not insulated, and had air leaks in the corners. Letting in not only cold air, but copious amounts of car exhaust. God must’ve been watching over us, because we had no incident, and did not get pulled over by LEO’s. Would’ve been a disaster if we had an accident.
