love it
no disco balls LOL
Earth Wind and Fire vibe – especially the horn section!
You hear it too! I never get tired of a horn section.. you’ll usually hear my screaming over the top of em! I have a trumpet of a voice
A great song and a great album. It has been a part of my collection since it was released.
Hey Bob.. thanks haven’t listened to this song myself in 40 years LOL
Loved this SONG
Hey don’t you share my FB posts? can’t always tell who’s who.. I’ll look again later thanks MC
I never considered that you were anywhere near disco…. until now. SCB is the only band that ai have never found a bad or even mediocre cut on any album. Will always love your music.
ROFL Ronn … I distinctly remember wondering what we’re gonna do next as more of the ‘dance’ music craze continued.. I was never a dancer! LOL
What do you mean dangerously close? All you’re missing is John Travolta in platforms shoes and an open necked shirt. Great song though!
You’ve been hangin around me waaaay too long I recognize my own ‘Smartass’ comin from you DF! LOL .. saw you readin’ childrens books on Tic Toc today ..dangerously close to a baby sitter! ROFL
Oh how I miss this sound that todays music just doesn’t have.
Hi Lisa I got a few new ‘oldies’ songs comin too. songs I thought I’d lost the demo’s too.. prolly coming in the next week as a song and then also as a video! later “Whisper My Name”
and it looks like yer first time to sign the comments on my nutpod page.. when my new songs are posted they’re yours by request just for being here
Yikes! Just this side of disco. That being said though, I liked this song then and I like it now. I am not a disco fan so it’s still a safe ways away from being disco. You didn’t wear the disco uniform when you sang it, did you? gold chain, lots of polyester…?
LOL Hi Hell! we used to wear parachute pants LOL does that count!/
Yeah that slap bass and percussion will do it! lol! Dangerously close but still good music. Not quite Saturday Night Fever!
Kevin Thomson of SCB invited Louis Johnson to do a guest appearance.. from the brothers Johnson that’s what takes this to funky town LOL thanks Marty M
What do you mean “dangerously close”? All you’re missing is John Travolta in platforms shoes and an unbuttoned to a “V” silk shirt.
Still the song is a great one!
the redeeming factor in this song is that “Praise Break” after the solo section! .. I like it!
The horns section makes this sound like disco…I didn’t know SCB had horns? Honestly the lyrics are great praise to God…did you write this? And in all honesty don’t think most churches would like it, but still a great praise song…you’re doing it for Him!
Really? we didn’t have horns in the official band couldn’t afford em all the time .. that’s too many peeps but the entire Breakin’ the Ice project we used Seawind Horns, I also loved Chicago, Sly n the Family Stone, and Breaker Brothers .. oh and lets not forget Earth Wind And Fire.. I used one their horn players later in my early solo shows
That was a kind of Jazz Disco! Love the horns. Great Song!
Sup DP! lil bit o Jazz in my soul
Did you mean the disco that’s popular today? Definitely not! I’m too old school and where I’m here we’re encouraged to respect other’s likes. I loved disco music and dancing! Went to a club in the 80s where the pro dancers went and was videoed…one of my 15 minutes of fame…had to give all that up when PT evaluation said I’d need to slow down…now I need to focus on my watch list Bryan and as I said many times it makes you special friend and dream a dream of you…
well I can say I like Disco better than Corporate worship! LOL
Funk is a better description. The maj7 chords sus and dim added in there. The entire jazz progression in break.
yes and those have always been my favorite musical salvations
