What a great testimony!!! I’m glad God decides to use people that are real!! I’d have probably been the guy to cut off the other ear of that Roman guy. . God bless you for being available to Him! You’ve impacted so many thousands of lives including mine! ❤️
I have a friend who could tell you everything about that mic. You know, Bry, that some poems, if they have the right cadence, are actually pre-lyrics. I just happen to know a guy who writes that kind of poetry. This is a great nutshell sermon. Gonna listen again… What bible college did you go to? *listening again* I did get a girl pregnant in high school. Wow. a heart attack at 38. I had my first heart attack at 53 or 54. That was about 20 years ago. I went to bible college for 1 year. that’s when God called me to work with kids. Been doin’ it ever since. I love working with kids.
Wow Bryan that’s quite a history in ministry…no wonder why you wake up dreaming of evangelism! Your father did super well providing a career at an early age…mom too with accordion and piano. The voice was God given as only you can do! Jesus is so with you every step of the way whether you feel or not. Yours is the most awesome testimony I’ve ever heard! ❤️
Hey there! I must have seen that ‘new and improved’ Amplified Version in 1974 when they wore jeans and had long hair. Plus they added a female singer. As you told told us that story of you preaching I can see you wearing David’s 4 sizes too big armor takin ‘5 Smooth Stones’ and laying that giant down!
LOL I was pretty sportin’ truth be told.. fer a young man I made a dapper sermonizer .. even if the words weren’t clear! LOL least I looked good! LOL thanks Dan fer the feed back
B, believe you me I would have love to see your trial sermon ! Boy if we only had a time machine ! If it would have be 30 years later we might would have the whole thing caught on iPhone . As far as that young lady goes though it hurt probably more than you might have let on at that time you were protected in a sense . Sometimes the good Lord has to let things take it’s natural course to let you see what’s really what and how someone truly really is at heart ! Yeah it hurts cause even at 16 or 17 you feel what you feel, but I can almost guarantee when you got the news about the young lady’s addition YOU DIDN’T SEE THAT COMING !
Fellow North Carolinian Brother! Great story! Music played a huge part of my being moulded and shaped into what God wanted for me. Thanks for being a part of it! A Heart Like Mine sticks out!❤️
hey David nice to hear from ya .. “Stikeleather’ don’t think I’ve known anyone by that name yer an original.. I keep my southern accent at home in a box but sometimes it’ll slip out! LOL
Dug the humorous recount here. Even where we are not aware, Papa God is working in the little world we live in to draw us to encounter Him. Beautiful!! I “got” the “teachers will be judged more strictly” part too. At one time I had been considering pastoral ministry in which teaching of Papa’s Book of Love – a line from a Led Zepplin song – (showing the generational age and musical tastes here) was a part. This part of Scripture pulled me up too – gotta be living what I teach. Could not guarantee that I could do that so rather than be a hypocrite I chose not to pursue the pastoral ministry. Turns out since that that choice was Papa God inspired and breathed……As was yours. Dig your music BTW. So good choice made by you there Mr D
thanks for the comments and the familiarity .. start to wonder if I’m an odd man out with my upbringing so glad you stopped by .. looks like the first visit to my comments page.. thanks for that..
I love how God works in our lives and how he chose you in your teens! And how you influenced people all around the world!! I am from Honduras and heard your music in the late 80 and early 90’s as I was Learning English and was helping as a volunteer missionaries coming from Tennesse that gave medical attention for free to my people and I used to help by translating! They were doctors dentists and pastors and members of their congregation and asked me if I knew your music! I said yes and then I received a tape cassette with your music signed by you!!! I was a very exciting moment! I will never forget it!
