  1. I am so glad you joined them.
I got to see one of the shows on youtube. Reminded me of the old Jesus Northwest shows in Vancouver wa. You still have the pipes.

  2. That was awesome! What a genius of the English language. Felt like I was right there with you!

  3. Bry,
A few months ago you put up a post and were more or less crying the blues…. Feeling like you were useless now… seeing others getting the acclaim and ministry opportunities. I remember telling you that God isn’t finished with you yet. And that no matter our age… God still wants to use us. I told you I’d be praying for you in that regard. So it warms my heart to see how God answered that prayer recently. I only wish I could have attended and I would have if you’d been playing near me. Besides you… Russ is one of my all time favorites and actually in jr high and high school I played One more song for you with Imperiais. Praise the Lord was and is one of the most powerful songs.

I always love your sarcasm and humor… but more importantly I love your love for Jesus and the revelations you experience and share with us. You are useful and you are talented and God STILL wants to use you. Keep on truckn for Jesus my friend. Loved this nutshell so much.

    God bless you my friend,
    Darla Dawald

  4. I’m so glad you talked about the tour. That was a really special nutshell. I could hear your heart in it and it’s so fun to hear about the tour stuff! Glad you are home safe and waiting to see what God has next for you…

  5. Thanks for the giggles and your complete honesty about the road…you can certainly say a lot in 6 minutesgood to be home I’m sure but wow the memories…️

  6. Wow Bryan, you had a lengthy time on this tour and gave you a chance to remember what being on the road is like. I’m really happy about your reasons for continuing doing the music concerts as a way to continue CCM and mentor the young artists, and of course strengthen your heart and glorify the Lord Jesus. So happy you went on this tour!

  7. I have been following the (Almost) Farewell Tour from a distance. I’ve enjoyed the photos you’ve posted showing where you guys have been performing. A shout out to Steve Taylor for getting the tour going & asking you to join. My husband and I are fans of Russ Taff/The Imperials (not to mention, Bryan Duncan/Sweet Comfort Band). We can relate to your getting emotional when Russ Taff sings “Praise the Lord”. We usually cry when we hear it. You and Russ Taff just know how to “bring the house down”, so to speak, when you guys sing. Both of you are two of God’s greatest gifts to the music industry with your singing and songwriting talents. I have seen the video of you singing “Blue Skies/Love You With My Life/I Surrender All”. I love the way you added on “I Surrender All” at the end. That was great! I’m glad you endured all of the traveling for the tour. Now, PLEASE get some rest!!

    1. thanks Patti for your enthusiasm its almost odd to be able to not shoot out of bed cause you gotta be somewhere! LOL slept for nine hours in a row when I got home! LOL

  8. Thanks for being a part of this tour. I caught the Salem show. What a great event. I brought my son & you graciously posed for a pic. Thank you.

  9. Thanks for being a part of this tour. I caught the Salem show. What a great event. I brought my son & you graciously posed for a pic. Thank you.

  10. Also I have to say I loved your thinly veiled comments on Washington’s and Oregon ‘s politics….

    1. I try not to go off the rails on it.. but it is discouraging.. God knows.. n I ask him everyday when I can shoot back.. thanks Bethie for noticing my rare subtlety LOL

  11. Bryan: It was a great pleasure to meet you briefly on Saturday night in Salem. My older brother Larry got me into Christian Contemporary Music when I was kid. There were two artists who he was very loyal to and had every album they produced. One was Bryan Duncan. The other was your friend Phil Keaggy. Larry and I had the opportunity to meet Phil in Portland back in 1999 prior to my brother’s lung transplant surgery as a Cystic Fibrosis patient. We lost my brother in 2005. He was 38 years old. His life was a fantastic journey of faith. Your surprise appearance Saturday night brought back many memories of my dear brother. He was deeply blessed by your work which strengthened his faith and brought him joy in times of great struggle. As his brother, I too have always had a great appreciation for your ministry and your impact on so many. Thank you for sharing with us Saturday night and for being a part of our lives and faith through your music. May God bless and keep you always.

    1. I remember passing you the other night and thanks for comin over here to tell me the story of your brother.. Larry deserved more of a moment than I had right then Randy .. glad you shared it here when I could digest the impact..

  12. despite all you went thru at least you got to see friends like russ and steve again and that ppl still love listenning to the classic music

  13. Bryan this is so sweet! How I wish I could have been there! Though maybe it was best I wasn’t. I would have made a scene wondering why the sign over the stage was missing the greatest name in Christian music….’If it had been up to me it would have read…’Duncan, Taff & Taylor’…‍♀️
PS…I’d love to see the clip your friend sent you of ‘I Love you with my Life’if you can send it to me
If this tour starts up again in my neck of the woods(Kentucky)let me know! I

  14. How I wish I could have come to see the concert. Downey would have been the closest, but that night was my son-in-love’s birthday. No contest. I’m glad you got to join them and that God refreshed you. I’m sure it was a lot of work and stuff for all of you guys. I know about that age thing since I’m right behind you. Don’t know if I could have Had the strength to do all that.

And when you mentioned Russ singing Praise the Lord, it brought memories of him at Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles. You remember that place? The Imperials were the headliners and we got to listen to this gal first whose voice was incredible. Never heard of her, but when she was done, she got such arousing applause and we wanted to hear more. Just happened to be Sandi Patty. What a way to be introduced to her.

Anyway, one these days I’d love to see you in person again, but more as a friend this time. I was usually helping out or doing the merchandise. God bless you on your future endeavors with your music.

  18. years ago you commented on your website about music ministry being a calling. that spirit of being faithful to the calling is what all believers should keep in mind. don’t quit the race. I can picture the scene of you listening to praise the lord. awesome!

  19. They need to get you in that studio. Those words and that voice need to be heard. There is still room for Bryan Duncan on Klove other than Klove 80’s, even though I love that! God bless!
