    1. wow thanks.. I have to get implants on my bottom row.. too much sugar I imagine.. so its a new high care dental experience these days… and the Jacket ? i went from Sacto to Seattle in a day flight.. it was colder up there.. I wasn’t ready.. so I picked up somethin in the gift store LOL

      1. Hi Bryan, I also now have some interesting dental experiences. How did we get here? I was just eating altoid mints (with just a tiny bit sugar in them) and now I’m praying for a dental miracle! God Bless you brother and brush 2x a day.

  2. Another fantastic song. Yeah, those tag lines in the end are so powerful! “when you walk alone. when you break inside. when a loved one dies. when your youth is gone. in an empty home.” Mercy is such a great record.

  3. that is a very good song and i always liked it bryan my dream that will be true one day is to get to heaven and be with jesus cause the world today is crazy n im just hanging in there waiting for his return

  4. great song. As far as the Russ/Steve tour, my opinion the highlight was your appearance. No offense to Russ or Steve. God bless you my friend.

  5. Bryan thanks for this pod. Just found it. Now I have to go back and listen to them all! This song is powerful. Your thoughts on writing it still rings true today. The entire Mercy project was a blessing. There is a station in the south that has a classic stream. I’ve heard several of your songs on there! It’s Joy FM. They have the link for Classic Joy on their site. God Bless you!

  6. I have always enjoyed your songs but this one took on a deeper meaning after my 17 year old son passed away. You wonder if God is still there and he speaks, Learn to Trust Me!

    1. ‘when a loved one dies’… comes to bear. Thanks for sharing with me Fred! you might mention his name on here. 17 is too young to go seems like.. but All in God’s Hands! welcome to my backrow conversations btw thanks for sharing

  7. Man!! Could really sense the inner heart yearning going on inside as I was listening to this podcast. For over the years of walking into Papa God’s purpose and destiny with the Three I have wondered “What the heck?? Feeling all alone here”. And the line from this song “…I’ll not forget you” would draw out the moisture in the eyes and as of late ( the last 5 years since being encountered by Papa God from dwelling for a time in 1 Kings19:1-10) I began to intuitively hear ” Son, I have not gone anywhere without you. I AM right here next to you. We are in this together.”
Wow!!! So covenantal good Papa is, as is Yeshua and Holy Spirit too.

      1. You’re welcome Mr D. Always an honour to cone alongside with something awesome to help build one up….

  8. I recall some of the frustrations I was having at the time (meniscual in comparison to what is really important) and I would come home from work for lunch. I would sometimes turn up the volume and play this song wondering if God had forgotten me. “Love Takes Time” was another one I would loudly play as I ached for the benefit of the doubt of the hard work I was doing and being unappreciated.

    1. that’s a feather in my cap then.. Oswald says the things we experience gives up compassion for others who know the same suffering and our story of walking thru it becomes a catalyst for others to..

  9. Faith in the unseen is something I’ve always struggled with, especially as a PK where you feel a little like a circus pony, doing the performance because everyone expects it, not necessarily because you believe it. Thanks for your unflinching transparency.

    1. Oh My … I so resonate with you on the PK platform.. I think seein one thing and hearing another makes most of us preachers kids a tad more Pragmatic.. but i continue on cause i ain’t seeing much in the way of alternatives. thanks for sounding out… TW n welcome to my back row!

  10. You are a gifted writer. My husband still wonders ariund rapping. ” It’s 8:15 & 81’s the gate to catch United to Chicago for a concert date….” He knows all of it, I think.

  11. GREAT NUTCAST HERE B ! I DON’T KNOW I GUESS I’TS LIKE THE GIFT THAT I THINK ALL NUTSHELLIANS MAY POSESS IS WHEN YOU SPEAK OF YOUR SONGS IT’S LIKE A ROLODEX THAT GOES OFF PLAYING THE SONG IN THE INSIDE OF US . A GOOD REMEMBERANCE OR A SUPERPOWER CAN’T DISTINGUISH BUT TAKING US BACK TO THE MERCY CD DAYS AND THAT SONG SPOKE OF THE DEPTH OF HEART FELT SITUATIONS THAT WE ALL HAVE FROM TIME TO TIME. SOMETIMES B WHEN WE ARE PRESSED IN WHATEVER WE ARE DEALING WITH, A SONG THAT TOUCHES SITUATIONS THAT WE MAYBE GOING THROUGH IS THE ONLY THING THAT CAN GET THROUGH AT THAT TIME AND IT SOOTHES THE HEART! IT’S LIKE A I’M UNDERSTOOD AND NOT ALONE MOMENT AND THATS ALL WE NEED RIGHT THEN. THAT IS ONE OF THE MANY REASONS “WE WON’T FORGET YOU”HERE ON THIS BACK ROW ! (LOOK TO YOUR RIGHT IM TRYING TO PASS THE ORANGE AND CREAM LIFESAVER TO YA )

  12. This is one of my faves on this album. It begins with a quiet reflection of Sarah and Abraham waiting for Isaac’s birth. It seems impossible to be true but God does come through, as He always does when He gives His word.words. In Bible study about Isaac’s sacrifice and someone said the Bible says he had to forgive his father for almost making him an offering. I asked the BS Leader if that’s true and he said well, if it was me, I would…but always have an eye part-way open!

  13. Great info!! I had the back-up tape and sang that song often!! Love that whole album. I always thought “hiding his pain in laughter” had to do with naming his son “Issac” which means laughter. Then I always thought that @every nights he’s counting stars” had to do with the prophecy that AB’s heirs would outnumber the stars in the sky or sands on the seashore. Thank you for following God!!!

    1. those are reasonable assumptions.. for me it was just all of it! knowing I often felt like Abraham n God never promised me even half o what he promised Abe! LOL .. all tho my grand kids feel like a whole nation these days!
