The bible says somewhere that God raises up and brings down leaders. We tend to get the leader we deserve.
We just had a sermon this past week that was politically motivated, threw in a couple prophesies etc.. but man I hate that. I go to get up to learn something, and get dealt opinions I prefer not to hear… Definitely need to pray God’s intervention in everything…
Well, I just finished eating at a nice restaurant called Shane’s Rib Shack and it was good. So the icing on the cake was this nutshell sermon LOL I agree with you. What makes it so entertaining is the fact that you are just brutally honest. Prayers you won’t hear in church but, prayers you would definitely hear in someone’s head if you could hear it. If people heard what was in my head when I was in church sometimes, some of them probably wouldn’t like me very much. But then again, some of them if not a lot of them may be thinking the same thing. Later sir, keep them coming.
It was funny to hear a little political humor here, knowing that it wasn’t totally political. I feel the same way as far as praying for our leaders, but I don’t do it enough. Maybe that’s why we’re always having problems. And praying for Babylon so you can prosper also is something we just read in church recently. Kind of like you’re affirming that. I’ve been away a few days, so I’m catching up again. Thanks for your fun insights.
That’s good brother! Most people don’t want to pray for Babylon or its leaders, no matter the century! We’re all so sure that “this isn’t what God intended” that we forget that He really does have the master plan – BECAUSE HE’S THE MASTER. I’m guilty of forgetting that, if I’m honest. Sometimes I have to remind myself that it’s documented in the Bible that He used a donkey before, so why wouldn’t He use one now? (And, sometimes, maybe, I’m that donkey!) Wait wait wait, I remember the Bible says something about using fools to confound the wise… no, that was just foolish things, wasn’t it. Hmmmmm… well it does say that He has all the plans and that includes a plan for my life, so I guess I should just trust in Him and pray for blessings on Babylon.
