Christmas Fav I Heard The Bells
I love the honesty in this Christmas song, “There is no peace on earth I said”, “for hate is strong and mocks the song of peace on earth good will to men”. But in the end is a reminder: “God Is Not Dead Nor Does He Sleep”.

It’s great and I believe that album will get launched. Happy Advent,my marvelous friend.
I’ll try to remain hopeful, mean time I have to make better use of my time. I’m loving this podcast. Thanks for tuning in to it
Man that’s Beautiful,and an awesome arrangement bro…
Thanks BKS The main guy in Straighter Road arranged all that .. I was merely the hood ornament
Gosh Bryan, I have a version of this song with you singing. It might have been on comp.
I did an original version with a full band recording on Christmas Is Jesus. This has not been released yet
Hey Bryan. I’m really lovin’ these short little episodes of sarcasm, truth and humor. Nobody else but you could pull em off. This is a beautiful song, and with your permission I’d like to play this whole episode on the next episode of my Lifespring Family Audio Bible podcast. Maybe some of my listeners will throw some support your way to help get Christmas album number 3 brought from concept to reality.
Awesome Steve of course you’re always welcome to play anything I post.
This is just beautiful! There’s nothing else to say…
Hi Beth! thanks for signing in AND supporting my efforts!.. I’m still lookin for a ID pic of you somewhere.. FB or Twitter or even here!~ you know in case I have to pick you out of a line Up Sweet Friend of Mine
Kind of funny and sad. Growing up I thought this was the worst Christmas song ever. My mom would only sing the first verse so it was kind of a downer song. Now, however, it is one of my favorite songs!
the resounding part is the proclamation GOD is not Dead nor Does he sleep. I was just happy the writing acknowledged his true feelings as well Thanks for sharing Rebecca! Keep coming back
Very nice. Love this.
Baby Hands good song! Hope that someday you can make another Christmas Album.
Hi Bec… thanks for the well wishes. Hard to know what the future holds. I’ll be 70 in less than 3 months. I just want to occupy my time doing something creative at least. I won’t say I’ll never make another project but I have to be realistic. Crowndfunding has not helped for the last 4 years at least. and now with concerts dwindling as well. My primary focus has been simply making a living. This podcast is something I’m really having fun with and it does bring in some gas money every month and sometimes groceries! which is no small thing these days!
Your Christmas song ‘The Form of Man’ is one of my favorites on my rather long playlist. Here in Mississippi is has been hotter than … ‘Phoenix’ for a couple of weeks and I decided to start listening to the Christmas playlist. ‘The Form of Man’ gets repeated a lot.
man I haven’t thought about Christmas for almost a year LOL.. it was so hot yesterday I went outside and met Shadrack, Meshack and Abednigo LOL
This is so Amazing! You’ve got to release this someday. Acapella just works. Have you seen the film about this poem and Henry Wadsworth who wrote it. It gave me a whole new perspective on the song. Great film but this song comes from a very dark place and pain. Yet God revealed himself Mr Wadsworth when he was blinded by grief. Worth a watch. I’ll never hear this song the same again after viewing that wonderful film. It’s destined to be a classic. They failed to market it unfortunately. Didn’t last in im theaters as a fathom event too long.
Hi Ron yea I know the story .. saw the movie too.. not sure what we do with the a cappella stuff it goes with other songs I have for ‘A Sentimental Christmas’ we couldn’t raise the money for another project.. pray we could place it in a movie or something
The way you recorded it now …is just gorgeous. I don’t know any other way to say it. The vocals give me chills. Kind of reminds me of some of the First Call stuff but with a bass vocals added. An album like this would be great. You’
have that Jazziness to bring another stellar Christmas album. I was talking to somebody in the David Meece camp. He thought about doing a Christmas album since David has written several Christmas themed songs. David isn’t so sure about it though because a Christmas album has only a market value for a few months and maybe carries over for a few years after. David just isn’t sure it’s worth it. Maybe you have more insight on that. Maybe it translates into more concert dates but in this day and age how can that work? I totally get your hesitancy on putting out more album. Physical product sales except Vinyl is hard. I do think the Band Camp thing Keaggy and Stonehill are doing is great. Not sure how much the artist gets by artist posting their own albums for sale, but it has to be more than Spotify, Apple etc. They ruined it for the industry in general. Your music deserves to be heard. You are one of the few definitive voices of CCM that we refuse to let go.
I’m working on posting all my songs in one place where I’m paid 100 % minus 15 for the app. bit.ly/bryanchristmas is one of the first lists of 20 songs
i absolutely love this version of this song. you’re cool vocals with background harmonies that remind me of the Carpenters. love your music and ministry. blessings to you in this Christmas season and all the coming year!
OH, and i forgot to ask … can i get a copy of this song sent to me? dang, i sometimes hate being ADD and then end up leaving 48 different messages. LOL i’m glad you can probably relate. 🙂
