  1. Amen to everything you said. Look, Christmas still means something practical to me: giving gifts of thanks to my coworkers, giving practical hampers to my neighbours who might be in need and, as it is summer here, flowers from my garden. I buy things on sale during the year to put in gift bags for the various charities, so it is a busy giving time. If you can’t afford to give much, giving condiments on special from the supermarket or something from your garden or something you have made is still an act of thoughtfulness and kindness. So many people are alone at Christmas. Inviting them in or giving them something you have cooked can mean so much.

  2. We love your nutshell sermons. We just saw you in Bixby & want you to know how much we enjoyed visiting with you afterwards for a few minutes.

      1. Well, I’m trying to post a picture of us from our son & daughter-in-love’s wedding in October, but it’s not working for me yet. Lol

  3. Yep, you’re right on my friend. I have to ride down Main Street in town and reminisce about the olden days to recapture the Christmas spirit and to imagine the Christmas lights , the snow on the ground , and watching it with my family. It’s sad.

  4. Love this one Brian!
I needed to be reminded to watch Charlie Brown’s Christmas. You are right, we are not going to hear the true meaning of Christmas on very many TV shows. I also love the Little Drummer Boy. Those and Dr Suess’s Grinch were my favorites

    1. I love quotes in movies one of my favorites in Scrooged TV mogal meets an old friend she says “Are you still tryin to rule the world? and he says “are you still tryin to save it?” .. (I with her)
