What’s ironic? Many Christians today vote political party, not political issues.
But hey, Pastor Chuck taught this “End Times Message” to this then 19 year old kid back in 1971. He said to expect what we see happening now and simply say… “Come Lord Jesus.”

Man your killing me with this one. I really struggle and I mean really struggle with this teaching. Kerry livgren said it best “how can one fool make another wise” So here is my delima du jour. If we support and obey our blatant “corrupt” (and that’s putting it mild) is that not condoning their sinful behavior and by voting/supporting do we not become a part of that evil empire? sorta sin by that osmosis thingy. (:
the struggle is real my friend! I have voted for the wrong person even based on the issues.. and how do we ‘love’ ‘our neighbors as ourselves’ without condoning their lifestyle? thanks for sharing.. glad yer enjoying my diatribes though I don’t speak from a real place of ‘wisdom’.. but I have to believe I’m right! He sets up kings and puts them down. So You are right when you say He knows what He is doing and knows what’s happening down here. We should learn to relax and trust Him. Haha

I hear you’re on the authority thing. I hate being told what to do, mainly if they’re trying to control me. But sometimes submission is the key. Sometimes I don’t necessarily like the way things are ran at my church either, but I’m not the pastor so I just keep my mouth shut. I was complaining to the Lord about one of our presidents in the past, and the Lord stopped me and told me that he loved him too not just me. So I had to pray for him and shut my mouth. I feel you my friend.

Get involved, don’t get involved? Humans always look for a leader. We elect them, appoint them and sometimes they make themselves OUR leader. The nation Isreal tried to make GOD their leader but chose a king instead. That didn’t turn out so good most of the time. We keep thinking that some good for all will be achieved but it turns out there is none good. Corruption permeates the hearts of men. Even us simple citizens make buffoonish errors. Seems like the more I lean on the everlasting arms of a gracious GOD, the more I relax and do what he says, “quit worrying about stuff”. I think he said that 365 times. Hummmm.
