  1. Bryan,
I love your stories, cadence, and humor. As usual, I learned some great history but found myself laughing with tears in my eyes. So enjoyable!
    God bless you, brother!

    1. So appreciate your sharing it with others as well as monitarily. means a lot. I never plan on being funny it just comes out like that now days! some things weren’t funny at the time! LOL

      1. SCB influences in ways you dont know. 1994 I played ” just like me” to my wife as a proposal. Pretty daring, but here we are almost 29 years later.

  2. This was a memorable story of the piano that got away and God’s way of taking your music to the next level! Greg Eckler ended up here at Applegate Christian Fellowship before God took him home. So great to hear about him in that story!

    1. wow I didn’t know that! ..Greg came back to San Berdo .. doin’ Bible studies.. hadn’t heard from him in over. a year.. learned six months after he died that he was gone!
Thanks so much for keeping in Touch. you’ve supported my stuff for a long time and I appreciate your insights too from your own memories of those days

  3. “4 man band with a midget on grand” – Great line except I guess if you are the midget but somehow I think you’ve had to come to terms with being shorter than average just like I’ve had to come to terms with being a less than stellar singer. Now what I really want to know was who paid for the car damage…

  4. Every band that you mentioned that I know, I end up thinking of a song that they sang and now my head hurts. I love this one and that piano story of yours. If you remember Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, to the right is Madonna mountain. And when I was in the youth choir at Grace church, we sang on top of that mountain at Christmas. We did it 2 years in a row. Some people loved it and then there were some that hated it only because they said it was too loud. I guess it depended on how the sound came down from the mountain. It was fun though.

  5. Fender Rhodes, take me home
man that’s a great story! Well they all are! Love hearing about all of it. Gonna look up some of the groups you’ve mentioned and see what I can add to my playlist. Love ya bro!

    1. LOL hey yer cleaver too.. never thought of the song with Fender Rhodes replacement! Good on ya! and thanks for your continual encouragement it means a lot

      1. Yes, I came back the same day. Simple procedures; they get me in and out pretty quick so I can cross the border before it gets nuts!

  6. Fender Rhoades…love it! I’m enjoying these stories so much.
Kinda funny…I was in a band called Sonrise…we did quite a few concerts around W Washington. I have a feeling that name was actually used quite a bit and I’m sure our sound was quite a bit different than the band you refer to…lol

  7. Ok Bryan. I’m a LONG time fan of you and your music. Have purchased a bunch of your tracks directly from you and covered “Holly Rollin'” on my first album, out a few months now. I’ve listened to a bunch of these awesome little ditties and this one made me LOL a few times. Explaining to the insurance company how his car got messed up! Thank you for the laughs, honesty, tales of your band(s) and your love for God’s children. Thank you so much for doing these nutshell sermons.
