  1. Excellent. Too bad he died so young. Obesity is in the DNA I think, like a curse. Yes I can hear his influence in your music alrighty!!!

  2. I like the entire sound! The arrangement reminded me of Chicago Transit Authority in the early days! I definitely see how you would have dug this guy. I went and checked out as many other songs of his that I could find. Thanks for sharing! How incredibly sad that he died so young, and sad too that you never had a chance to do music with him! That would have been sweeeet!

    1. I loved his tone and phrasing and song writing gotta remember we were following stuff that was out in the 1970s of course he kinda went country after 72.

        1. I was most impressed with his vocal tone.. and then there’s that unbelievable horn section! thanks for comment to Barry means a lot that this means something to you in the way of encouragement

  3. That was fun to listen to. It is sad that he was gone at 26? I was one year married at that age. That would have been fun if you two could have done something together. And the music of today, I don’t even know what it is. I’ve been listening to more Sports than music these days. I guess that’s kind of sad in itself.

  4. Thank you for sharing Bill’s talent. He was incredible, vocals, arrangement and songwriting. Def see how he inspired you. So sad he died so young and you didn’t have a chance to play with him in earth . But you will one day. Thats how faithful God is. Doing abundantly more then we could ask or think. God bless.

    1. glad you like Bill’s stuff. I never thought till I started tellin my story, about posting other peoples songs on here .. but especially people who didn’t get heard, I wanted to let my friends hear it

    1. trouble with adding horns is that ‘Live’ it doubles the size of the band and the expense. and if you play without em on a song made for horns it sounds kind of empty. I started doing this podcast because I couldn’t raise the money to even do one more song in the current economy
