      1. Awesome testimony. I can totally relate to wanting to give up praying for myself. I feel, sometimes that God is quick to answer my prayers for others and yet be completely silent and seemingly unresponsive to prayer requests I pray for myself. I’ve been there- being on a worship team and not feeling what I was singing. I spent the better part of a year going through the motions just playing keys but not singing. Not a good place to be. Since I started going to another church, I am singing again and joined the worship team as a singer, guitarist and keyboardist. I’ve also started reigniting my passion for music with online courses for piano and lead guitar as well as music theory. I want to be the best I can be but more importantly give God my best. Thanks for sharing this testimony. May your wife be completely healed, in Jesus name. Amen!

        1. Wow.. so I’m not the only one! especially the church thing.. wondering why I hear sometimes. I know God has something more just waiting..tomorrow I’m going to post her talking about it! have coffee with us on our back porch

  1. Such a great testimony sir. Love hearing about perseverance, because it brings me hope for the things I face in my own life. Thanks again for sharing!

  2. Wow! Powerful testimony. We have been in a 3 year long waiting period. My husband has had 4 back surgeries in the past 3 years. He has been in a rehab center for year on the 7th of July. It’s difficult at times to keep our eyes on the One who is our hope. The enemy wants us to doubt and question God. So grateful that God has answered your prayers. Continued prayers for complete healing for your wife. Trials do bring us closer to the Father and to each other. Waiting for the day we can rejoice in God’s answer to our prayers. Love and blessings!

    1. thanks for sharing. we still have a ways to go in recovery but why we go thru things might be because it gives us compassion for others that we would not have without experiences ourselves… btw ‘Cashman’ is what we call our only Grandson Cassius Ray Duncan

  3. So glad you guys finally got some relief. Thank You, God! The scrutiny of the suffering when prayers are not immediately answered is so horrible, and then the feeling of ostracism… burying the wounded. Thank you for sharing this.

  4. Wow, my wife Betty is in tears. This does give me hope for an infliction I’ve had for twelve years… still praying!

    1. trhanks for sharing .. we still wonder WHY God would wait so long .. and you are part of the reason … that we might lift up others .. if we never suffered there would be no compassion.. I’ll share this with Cass… I want to have her tell her experience to me on an coming episode

  5. Great summation of four years of trial, among other things. We’re very glad Cassie is doing so well! I praise God for your and Cassie’s willingness to be honestly transparent about her condition and the struggle. Keep pressing in brother, please pass on the same to Cassie.

  6. Chronic illness and pain is such a trial to everyone involved. So many people become bitter. May your testimony encourage others to see How God works in the midst of our trials. What a miracle to see how God worked through so many people and circumstances to bring healing

  7. Hey Bryan,
    Thank you for sharing Cassie’s story. You have shared with me some, but I had no idea how bad it truly was at times. I love how you are so ‘real’. You tell it like it is and you dont wear those fake masks so many(myself included) wear to hide all our ugly stuff. Im beginning to learn when you are transparent, it draws more people to you, and more importantly to Jesus. Anyway I am so happy for you and Cassie. Your story gives me hope for my own healing. I struggle a lot with the same discouraging thoughts that you have had. Anyway thank you for sharing. I am excited about what might come out of this episode in your life music wise

    1. I’m posting next a special edition episode “Listening to My Wife For Once”.. my wife and I talking about her four years of Trigiminal Neuralgia ! have coffee with us on our back porch .. it’s a 25 minute one so pour a cup..

  8. From our sermon today. Focused on these 2 verses. I don’t know what to say except praise God! He’s beside us throughout our struggles and hears our prayers. We just need to wait on Him. It’s hard as humans.
    Psalm27:13-14
    I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
    That I would see the goodness of the Lord
    In the land of the living.
    Wait on the Lord;
    Be of good courage,
    And He shall strengthen your heart;
    Wait, I say, on the Lord!

  9. Dang, it’s amazing what a story of powerlessness, pain and suffering can morph into something praise worthy. . My friend who was in dire straights in similar pain many years finally prayed God , heal me or kill me as she fell asleep. In the morning things started improving, 4 years later a total rebound. I am reminded in times such as these? There’s gotta be a pony in this pile of $hit somewhere! Lol. Now we can laugh. Somebody write a book, all the stupid things Christians say to other Christians! Oh my word! Good things incoming. I can feel it!

  10. I’m so glad to hear of her recovery. There are only a few things worse than the helplessness one feels to see their loved one going through pain and suffering. I’m happy those times are behind you. Embrace the moments with her. They go by too quickly.

  11. Wow, this is such a moving testimony. Thank you for sharing. I so appreciate your honesty and it’s also a blessing to know how much you and your wife love each other. May God bless you both in so many more ways than you can count! I’m so glad to hear she finally has some relief, she sounds like such a strong, sweet, Godly lady.

    1. Hi Deb, glad you got to hear some back stories.. I always worry they’ll be missed in a week!I couldn’t approve comments while i was in Sweden.. but I got to read your comments. I always love hearing from you.. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

  12. I can totally relate. I need a surgery on my mouth and there is only one irsl surgeon in my area that takes my insurance. He only has 700 people on his waiting list. Really… So glad everything is getting better for you both.

    1. Oh My… you know on Cassie’s insurance noone on it could do the surgery in our area.. we pettioned our Ins. to go outside our coverage for that very reason.. I think you might have a case.. if you consult your INS Rep! they would eventually agree to let us go to USC Medical
