  1. Nice. I agree about today’s worship music, it really all sounds alike, and it’s more about what God has done for me, and less about worshipping Who He Is. Thanks for the song, always like hearing your stuff.

    1. doin a new nutshellsermon today I was talkin abut David playing for King Saul to soothe his madness.. and Saul throws a spear at him.. so yea, I’ve felt the same way about the music in church! LOL

    2. Great positive vibe! Nice song.
I play guitar in our fellowship and there are those songs that I just can’t get my heart into. So yeah I get it. Need to do what works for you..

      1. not sure God is opening a door for worship ministry.. nutshells seems clearer to me. but pray I can find a way to get this recorded.. and maybe then some where to put it.. or at least play it live

        1. Your stuff is all over Spotify, there’s an app that formats music for Apple and Spotify.

        2. Well since you asked, LOL..I vote of Nutshell. Now my reasons might not reflect a strict adherence to christian norms(whatever that is) so I will refrain. However, on the other hand, maybe someone could empathize with a disenfranchised loon with my soon to be shared opinion? wait for it, wait for it, here goes “I hate Corporate Christianity.”. there I said it. I feel better now…. What I am trying so elegantly to say LOL.. is Let God be God and u bee who he created you to be… a wild untamed triple threat bad ass Musician/comedian..soon to be talk show host LOL who Loves Jesus. Not a Sunday Morning Jukebox. Nuff Said…. Penny for your thoughts (which is way more than your getting in royalties I am sure, so I am sensitive to your legal tender issue. But in my mind Nutshell should be treated like any other “Church Plant” without the costly real estate. You have spent your entire life singing for Jesus and BTW he hears it. Likes “Leave your Light on for me. best I’m sure.” You have reached probably millions (at least over 300) who needed to hear and feel Gods love. You were created a Music Minister from day 1.. do what you do but you gotta feed the family and the dog too. I get it.

Thanks for sharing your whole spirit Brian. Its much more refreshing to hear Jesus presented by attraction rather than with large and tiny corporation promotion…. Now its time for your afro wig and zebra bell bottoms cuz thats a catchy little tune you got there. memba Ball of Confusion by the temptations. Loved that song maybe you could do Mr. Bailies daughter to that style/tune give it to the church elders before we ask for financial support for the NS church plant? Just Sayin

          ps taking your Ritalin? (:

          1. LOL.. well this was a breath of fresh air.. wait till I post the next nutshell “Ever feel like you might be the anti christ? ” LOL thanks for the encouragement.. I often feel guilty for not resonating with all that’s going on in the name of God.. with a scripture or two.. yea I believe but I’m not sure who my friends are…

    1. Thanks PW! .. I started doing a podcast because I finally admitted that doing another recording of songs on a project is pretty much out of date now. selling songs 1 at a time at a 1;29 online is not sustainable

    1. this is merely a ‘placement vocal’ as we call it just to give you the idea. personally I’d love to have the Four Tops or the Temptations sing the whole stack

    1. nice thought.. lot wrong with that.. first albums don’t sell, nobody has a player in their car. I have no budget to do a single song in a studio … I started the podcast just to pay bills.. you might pray that God might show me what to do with these.. even my own church doesn’t think this is a direction to go for worship.. I”m currently looking for where I should be now.. that’s the number one prayer!

      1. I know what direction you should go for now. Audition for THE VOICE. I won’t stop nagging you.

        1. lot o reasons why that won’t happen.. I’ve had friends on there.. they favor heartbreaking stories to go with the singer.. and they own you contractually for years.. but kind of you to think I should go there..

  2. Love it! Go w/ the Motown style. But I wanna see you and your band in matching slim-cut suits, skinny ties, and some choreographed steps.

    1. LOL.. at our age we’re not gonna fit in them slim cut anythings.. maybe matching cardigans LOL call our selves Mister and the Rogers! thanks for the amusement!

    1. new church has never even heard of Motown LOL…doin a new nutshellsermon today I was talkin abut David playing for King Saul to soothe his madness.. and Saul throws a spear at him.. so yea, I’ve felt the same way about the music in church! LOL

    1. thanks Jill it’s not likely to get CCM airplay. too much expense for that as an independent artist!pray I can find a way to get this recorded.. and maybe then some where to put it.. or at least play it live

  3. Sounds great. Boy, I sure wish you would change your mind about developing that into a Praise & Worship album. We need God-centric songs again in the church! OK, I’ll shut up. Keep up the Nutshells Sermons…

    1. you have to tour if you’re going to release a project. at my age I’m not interested.. I’ll watch him make a way …pray I can find a way to get this recorded.. and maybe then some where to put it.. or at least play it live

  4. Mm mmm MMMMMM! That is GOOOOOOD brother!!! Exactly what I needed today. Think I’ve found my new favorite song. Don’t change a thing with it!

    1. wow what a surprise DAD! glad you like it.. I met a guy that has a studio and a willingness to try to put this song together professionally.. not sure what we do with it.. doesn’t fit church world as I know it.. bet we’ll see Good to say favorite son o mine!

  5. Love it! Oh how I wish worship music was way more like that! Today’s worship music is definitely a pet peeve of mine…

  6. Love it!!! Though as a DJ It was never my job to decide which songs the record companies released, if it were this would have been one of them! Great song!

  7. Love this! It truly is the Best That We Can Do! He knows the purpose for all things, and He will lead us and guide us through it all!
