Another revealing nutshell sermon for those of us who have operated in professional Christianity. Is there really anyone that’s not broken? I think not. The scripture pretext I live by is that if I am willing to give a lot of grace to people, that postures me to receive a lot of grace. The thing is that I absolutely know that I need so much more grace than may appear from the outside looking in. So through the years I have shifted more and more from legalism to absolute grace for people. As long as someone is trying who am I to not do everything I can to encourage them and love them where they are unconditionally. That what Jesus does for me, so yeah, I will go and do likewise! Thanks Bryan for keeping it real. And we wonder why so many people are turned off to church.
I only judge people that might make me look bad! LOL
One of the scariest things is not fitting in. I’ve often felt like that square peg trying to fit in the round hole. I finally adopted the idea that if someone didn’t “get me” it was their problem and not mine.
We should always do what Jesus said, and offer grace to those who don’t deserve it, much like He did for us.
“Do unto others, what we want done unto us.”
Hey DF.. thanks for bein here.. maybe we gather a motley crew ourselves.. we’ll call it first church on the left LOL
I call that template Christianity. Act this, way talk this way, walk this way. BTW, if you don’t talk or associate with “certain” types, how do they see the difference in your life? I didn’t see Yeshua shying away from people regardless of who or what they are. I was one of those types for a long time. Sometimes I prefer them over the goodie two shoes Christian’s.
Anyway stay safe and crazy. It’s the best
nice coin Template Christianity.. I’m borrowing that! trouble for me is I don’t think anyone is moved by my relationship with God most of the time.. certainly not my neighbors!
As far as neighbors are concerned:
I’m kinda glad they don’t pay too much attention.. being Jewish believer has its own challenges..
I’ll bet.. lets see how tiny a minority we can make! LOL
Amen
