  1. I kept waiting to hear that Tammy gave some hair and makeup tips. Looking back, I think you should’ve given her some tips or is that the real reason you weren’t asked back!

  2. I just heard yer rappin rhymin recently on Classic Christian Rock Radio so I looked up the lyrics and clearly you rhymed a clean clever comical comforting Christ-centred composition. Even some CRTC-approved Canadian-content about running’ back to Saskatoon. Something only you & Guess Who would ever wanna sing about eh?

    1. we played in Toronto same weekend as Guess Who.. I had a shirt made that said Sweet Who cause nobody knew who Sweet Comfort Band was LOL … people thought we were them just because of that shirt when we pulled up to the hotel

  3. Really love the album Strong Medicine.Have you done a Nutshell on that one? My second favrourite song of all time after We All Need is the title song of that album. The other musicians may have had more quals, but you had plenty of experience and on the job learning. Many secular musicians have no training at all, just prodigious talent, as yourself. The era in which you performed became more and more plastic and then the disaster of Hellsong, or boredom in 2/4 or 6/8, all in unison, marketed with fear. That entity has now very publicly reaped what it has sown. I connected with your music because it was so genuine and very well executed on all levels. Clearly many others did also. And the money maker all reaped as they had sown also. Your ultimage manager is your Father and He has more for you to do. And I still have a VHS player.

    1. yes Jamie, I am covering all my projects in the order they were recorded .. at the top of the nutshell sermon home page click on ‘Jesus N Music’ you’ll have to scroll back to the earlier posts to find Strong Medicine.. or try typing that it the search bar!

  4. Ya know if I was a reputable reknowned rapper rater, I’d rather rank you up there with them other Christ-centred homies like KJ-52, John Reuben, and T-Bone eh?

Yer Bryan D, a screamin’ machine, tearin’ it up; loud if it’s clean!

Ima imagining y’all forming a quartet, “The Rs&Bs”, the “Rocking Rolling Religious Rappin’ Righteous Bros”.

I seen you dancing like David as a Self Righteous Brother so …
    Turn. This. Up!
    I’m so ready eh?

    The heart is the same,
    it’s just a different face.
We all got a Lunatic place.

  5. I get judged similarly: because I’m not “outgoing” and am more receptive and keep to myself, people assume I’m stuck-up and arrogant. I’m not, it’s just, I don’t enjoy putting myself out there, and the world is just too people-y for my taste.

That rap video is what got you to not get taken seriously? CCM is odd to me in that way, it’s very double standard for artists compared to maybe pastors. A pastor can get caught face deep in booger sugar and hookers and if they sell their weepy begging enough, I’ve seen them get accepted back like nothing. They can even rinse and repeat! But CCM artists, can get their name ruined for far less. I don’t get the CCM audience, they complain about how it’s all rote and formulaic and express wanting something totally different to shake up what they’re used to. Then, one day they get it and they complain “no wait, not like that!” SMH
