  1. Grandma looks up at your Dad after weeks in hospital and says: ‘Wow… How long does it take to die?’ I want to get to Heaven just to meet HER.

    1. I gave my grandmother a copy of My Utmost by Oswald Chambers bout three years earlier when I got it back after she died… she’ had written arguments in the margins! ROFL she was a ‘testy’ woman

      1. I would love to see your gramma’s notations. Have you read them and considered them or dismissed them?

  2. You mention the My Utmost for Your Highest project. Confession time….A Heart Like Mine was the first time I really became aware of you as an artist. I listened to SCB some when I was younger but I didn’t connect the dots right away. When I heard Heart Like Mine the first time I said, “Oh my goodness who is that? What an amazing voice.” And I went and bought more of your music. So I am really thankful you did the “Utmost” project.
BTW I am going to try to keep up better with these nuts…we shall see…lol

  3. Umm, when I was in your band, we actually DID play Dying to Meet You live. I have a live recording of it as proof! It’s a heavy introspective song… Of course any contemplation of mortality is I suppose. And a beautiful song as well!

    1. He Steve.. I noticed too that you played on a few records o mine. Saw you in the credits! should mentioned that! We mighta done it I guess. I just remember not wanting to! LOL ‘nother song that takes you down the road at a live show rather than UP! ROFL nice to see on here Latmo!

  4. I love that album so much! I bought the cassette and played the fool out of it. Now they don’t put cassette players in cars… Do you still sell that album, but in vinyl?

    1. Hi Val.. love ‘playin the fool outta somethin” ROFL I don’t remember Blue Skies even being on vinyl! I can send you the songs from this project via MP3’s that you can play on yer music app! welcome to the new world.. yea … I hate it too! I don’t even listen to music in my car now days!

  5. I love all these stories.
The are more than mere stories they hold so much wisdom.
Nuggets of truth and that is a beautiful thing.

  6. Love Blue Skies. The songs are classic! It’s good to hear music from you that is so simple and devotional.

  7. For me personally as I listen to the circumstances and situations behind the songs I see how the Lord opened them up to me in an entire different light. He personalized them to accommodate my needs in my circumstances and minister to me. I find this fascinating much the way scripture is onions deep and more and more is revealed as we peel away the layers. I appreciate so much that you were obedient and struggled through so much to ‘giterdun’..
Helps me to see and appreciate you more as a messenger but also a man dealing with his own burdens and joys.

    1. wow thanks for sharing that.. so much of our time we’re thinkin I’m not makin a difference ..can’t even keep my own life in tact! And then looking back … realizing I’m still here

  8. Blue Skies is the CD that’s stuck in my car player I believe. And I love listening to it all the time. I’ll listen to some sports radio for a while, and then I’ll switch on over to listen to your CD. It’s been fun seeing how all this came about and all the people that you were involved with and just the testimony of how God brought you around to this CD. Very cool. Thanks for letting us into your life like this.

  9. Not sure which tour it was, but I had tickets for me and the fam to see you again. My boys were talking about how life on the road must be hard and they would really miss home cooking, especially comfort foods. After the concert they waited to get your autograph and then proceeded to invite you over for my delicious meatloaf!!
