So in middle eastern religions. One of the oldest judiasm, there is public prayer, but it’s organized by a set of prayers. Islam kinda took a big chunk of that from judaism. But don’t get me started on Islam.. so yeah the private prayers are really important. And I hate it when I see the religious stopping by the road or whereever to recite those prayers from the prayer book. I think they missed the point. I was told by a paster from Spain, that we can know the bible by heart and all the prayers by heart, but if we do not know how to pray from our heart and soul we will be lost. That kinda stuck…best advice I ever got.
I was looking up the story about that vision and the feet of Iron and Clay… start reading the dilution of rituals accross the world.. hard to imagine the truth could stand the test of time! Sorry to hear about recent deaths on the soccer field btw
The Druze community really got hit hard. Very sad. Hoping our PM will finally unload on Hizbollah., which means it could get noisy around here. Has been for the last 9 months. I like to go on my roof during alertds and watch the rockets explode in mid air. My wife yells at me from our little bombshelter to get inside.
After years of playing in churches, I learned it’s ok to open your eyes – especially if you’re expected to walk up. Although it still feels a little weird sometimes (my parents would kill me if I ever opened them!)
