I’m a bit behind, sorry . I never doubted my faith, but sometimes I question our understanding. I get the whole recording business change. But in the end, I still appreciate the artist that puts out music,prints it on vinyl so that I have something tangible in my hands. Kids today don’t get that, I’m guilty by the way. I play my guitars and pianos, record them into cubase and add other stuff. Something you can touch is irreplaceable, like my “hold on tight”album on vinyl or “icebreaker” album. I sit here reading a paper back book. Not a pdf. The world of AI is transforming my knowledge into a Google search and code. So I get it. I too am becoming irrelevant. They just announced at our office an AI engine that helps the customer troubleshoot and solve their problems. There goes my job. God isn’t irrelevant, people are simply not paying attention anymore. Need to slow down and smell the flowers…
I love all your music.I still believe it’s relevant today. The music in this day and age, in my opinion, has no variety. It all sounds the same. Hand it Over was one of my many favorites! My initial thought when hearing yesterday’s podcast, is that when we’re really doing a work for the Lord, we’re not going to be popular, in any arena (Jesus wasn’t). I think about the fact that as Christians, we will be judged according to “what we have done”, not how popular we are. I love Wayne Watson’s song, “The Fine Line”. Isn’t that the truth. The words are all about our motives. I appreciate you continuing to share Bryan. Transparency is so important. Another direction here, when you wrote your songs, did you write all the instrumentation parts as well (horns, drums, etc.) or did other musicians add the flair. For some reason, I’ve always had this picture of you and the “Econo-band” in a room putting all the music together, something like Garage Band application, although I know that didn’t exist early on. Your songs just resonate, something I’m quite sure the Devil did not like, hence the opposition, if you will. Keep strong!

that’s where a calling starts though .. a simple longing .. that’s when I started singing songs to myself in H.S. .. who knew that would turn into anything else.. and of course now its nutshellsermons
THIS JOURNEY OF ALL OF US IN AND THROUGH THE DIFFERENT ROADS THAT PRESENT ITSELF OVER MANY YEARS I AGREE CAN BE CHALLENGING. HOLDING ON TO THE FAITH THAT WE HOLD DEAR WE WILL MOST DEFINITELY FIND OUT EVEN IN THAT WE NEED GOD’S HELP. WE CAN’T DO IT WITHOUT HIM LITERALY HELPING US! SO WHATEVER THE ROAD THAT SEEMS SO DIFFERENT NOW THAN THE ONE WE STARTED ON MAYBE A BLESSING WE DIDN’T SEE COMING . MAYBE JUST MAYBE IT MIGHT EVEN CIRCLE BACK AROUND TO WHAT ONE LOVED AND JUST DID AS A HOBBY ONLY THIS TIME WITH EVEN MORE PASSION, CREATIVITY AND LOVE THAT EVEN YOU THOUGHT WAS POSSIBLE. BECAUSE OF EVERYTHING YOU’VE BEEN THROUGH FRESH NEW AND VALUBLE PERSPECTIVES EMERGE THAT NOT ONLY BLESSED THOSE LOVE YOU AND BEEN WITH YOU THROUGH THE YEARS BUT MAYBE TO A WHOLE NEW GENERATION THAT WE CAN SEE SURE NEEDS IT !
Mate, just makes you weep. There is a backlash by some artists eg Adele, against streaming for the reasons you aluded to.
Just keep pressing on into your Father, mate. He has big plans for you.
