Your voice still amazes me. Maybe you should make a secular album doing all your favorite songs from the 70’s! I would buy it! Your Christmas album is still the only one I reach for at Christmas time.

Late Summer 1972 – I had visited with my mom The Burkeys family who met my parents in 1951-1954 at the US territory of Hawaii. They were living in Fresno,CA. and had a deep faith in God. I attended a youth meeting and knew God was offering an invite at the end of the service but I needed to wait 2 more Summers before I would walk down the aisle of CCC Riverside Little Church up on the hill to accept that invite during the Summer of 1974. That would lead to meeting the trio of Sweet Comfort Band at a weekend retreat. Praise God for “We are one in the spirit we are one in the Lord.”

I can’t imagine packing up stuff at the age of 19 (if I’ve calculated that correctly) and moving clear across the country from North Carolina. You were bold to do it and God was leading you there. The puzzle came together after the proper pieces were put into place. I think that’s a great idea “Anonymous” had about you possibly doing an album with secular covers from the 70’s. That would be awesome! Thanks for sharing your stories from your life and the SCB.
I was offered that chance to do a cover record.. but I thought what does that say about my life’s work as a writer.. if I go there… I love lots of songs from others.. but my calling was pure intent and I didn’t feel right about it.. PC
