I love this album, but this song in particular. I listened to it over 5 years ago when my life was ripped out and I found myself alone, or something I thought. As time went on the next chapter entered until now I’ve established a good thing cause I chose one close to my friends, I’ve learned to except pain and waiting, both at same time! Hard for me and I’m not ADD! Lol
One of your best nutshells Bryan. Terrific intermingling of scripture and today’s times and issues. Not sure I ever pieced together this message as thorough asc intended. I think I need to listen again, maybe multiple times, as so much is packed into the lyrics. Yes, you were putting out an album a year and I have every one!!

One of the greatest things I Loved about this album was the strict matter of fact dive into weighty matters of true self-reflection . That’s not easy and can be kinda painful at times cause the stepping on one’s toes is not someone else doing it it’s oneself. You’re not doing it in a masochistic way but in an honest self-finding realization of what is and the actions that probably need to be taken. I heard it back then pre- Nutshellian days and even more so now as a full blown NUTSHELLIAN here 37 years later ! Great lyrics are just gonna stick around and get sweeter as time goes by. I’m so sure by the wonderful comments that my Nutshellian family leaves on this ever-expanding backrow that they just love the lyrics just like I do! And that’s no surprise to me cause us Nutshellians are all family on this backrow! Can someone bring some butterscotch lifesavers to pass down on this back row for the next time we meet?
I’m so glad you talked through these lyrics. I tend to sing along and miss some of the small words especially at the beginning of a line, sometimes the timing in a song breaks up a complete thought a bit. It’s good to really read through the lyrics of any song ….it really helps with hearing what the writer is trying to say. These lyrics have a lot to say…
Thanks B.. I read other writers lyrics too all the time.. amazing how much nuance is often missed ‘boppin to the groove’ I’ve been just pickin songs that people have quoted lyrics to me directly so encouraging the deeper meanings can thrive among the trivial stuff we all hear

I was 36! in 89! that hair was ‘wash n wear’ friendly I loved it for that reason didn’t evn have to comb it!
