Wow Bryan we’re in the same groove…this song and Another Ball of String with Phil Keagy are my welcome songs when I came to Healthcare. I was scared, embarrassed, was unsuccessful at all my therapy, didn’t have a phone cause I asked my friend who left to put it out of commission, and boy was that a good thing cause people I didn’t want to reach me were hounding! My friends knew where I was praise God, and I had some peace to make decisions. Also due to my failures at therapy, I needed to stay longer and eventually I had to add on another insurance that cut my rent way low. When I arrived here, DPS came out to update my ID. They took my photo in bed with a blue screen behind. It was same cost, but boy did it take an act of congress! I now have my current ID so this is all permanent…feel sooo much better…I’m retired and home…I can finally relax and get the many therapies I need. They discovered there was more cause for physical affliction. I’m comfortable now, much needed treatment and activities and friends .
Great song! It’s got a great message and beat to it. Go ahead & just agree with the Nutshellians on the back row on how great of a singer & songwriter you are—it’s okay, go ahead now. Thank you for your uplifting music! Can I get an “Amen!” from everybody? 🙂
Bryan I Love this song! So humbling
I’m curious to know why this song is one of your favorites? Did you write it during a significant time in your life?
I’ve been listening to the strong medicine album on repeat quite a bit this week thanks to one of your recent posts. It been great re discovering and enjoying the thoughts around that God’s love and grace are the only things that can truly heal and save. I pray you are having a great week. I wonder, are you doing any concerts over the summer or this year? Enjoyed seeing your performance in Modesto would love to hear you perform your music again somtime.
I was in modesto just last month.. but a surprise guest on Steve Taylor/ Russ Taff tour.. having dental surgery this month prolly not singin this summer
This song may not have gotten “air play” on the radio, but it was playing A LOT in our household. We love you Brian! Praying for you and your family always!
Hey B I was wondering what came first with this song the lyrics or the music or melody ? or did they both come to you together kinda intact? Did the song final product come out anywhere near the way you envisioned it in the beginning when it first came to you ?DO you come up with all the different instrument parts that come up doing the songs Imean like the drum parts throughout the song or the guitar parts and riffs and the background stuff ? Do you have the final word on what stays or goes in your songs or is that the job of your producer ? i kinda like the process on how the sausage is made very interesting to me !
in this case my friend CHuck Barth drummer and programmer and fellow preachers kid was writing a lot with me.. he’d program ideas and I’d sing melody n write lyrics over his stuff
Idk, it’s hard to limit to just one favorite song of yours and I think I’ve had half a dozen….this is one…We all need is another and Remember Me all amazing to me. Oh and your live version of Maybe I’m Amazed…fantastic!
I remember this one, Bryan. It hits good and hard. I’d rather be at the bottom of a pit at the end of myself relying on my God and Savior for every thought and every breath than flying high. We can love and serve people and God when we are willing to be broken. Thanks again for the reminder, brother.
