  1. Does it day something about me that I know by heart the lyrics to nearly every song you’ve ever released. I’m so glad you are doing these nutshell sermons. I’d comment more often but I’m pretty bad at getting it done. Working on that. Procrastination is not a spiritual gift. 🙂

    1. lets just call it patience… sounds better and harder to find LOL wow DB.. you should get come kinda reward for knowing all my songs … I’m not sure I do .. not with googleing me! LOL and btw.. Donna.. like I say in the nutshellsermons.. ‘Yer never dismissed’

  2. Bryan I will be honest with you…you and your family are clean and blessed…compared to most. And it’s through Bible study and belief in Jesus and prayer. That’s probably why you question it. Finding this at 40 something for our generation is also not surprising…my pastor was 40 when he converted. I was 42 when I began a Bible believing college. I went cause I wanted to go to convocation. I went to all of them…so many were required to graduate and I was far over that. I loved it…I devoured it. It was a great education and what I’d been thirty for years! I met my best friend in 2001 during a class abroad. What a blessed fantastic memory and ongoing friendship for the last 25 years. It’s a long distance one too. Her mother was with her that summer and I know her whole family. I wanted an education this way and got it. The diploma yes, but the knowledge and classes were a lifetime experience that makes me proud to make Jesus my Lord and savior…counselor, friend, lawyer, judge, financial advisor, teacher… the point is Bryan, you had this all your life. We are rich just not in money!

  3. I just don’t know how you do it but man you have a wonderful tendency to bring up the songs I really love the most of yours. These are the songs that I would record on my favorite B-dunk play list to hear in my car when I went from place to place. What I am surprised by today is the new stuff I learned about how it came to be and your insights on expressing what you were feeling when you wrote the song. As in everybody’s take on any song one may have his or her opinion on what you think is the meaning of this or that line but to clearly hear the input of the author himself truly tells how close you were in your interpretation. To me that is important sometimes because the way and why you are impacted by something can say a lot about your personal state at one time or your state now. Both of which could be very helpful to you in the interim or future. I will definitely play this song again real soon because I kinda sort of clearly miss the dialog between you and the angels. This is huge because what I probably was not hearing clearly then I do hear now will just make a lot of sense. You know how it is when you remember a song from long ago that you memorized and you can’t quite make out what that word is so you fill in what it sounds like! Now I’m super excited to visit an old friend (ALL IS FORGIVIN)and hear the things I missed! BTW I’M STILL STUMPED AT THE WORDS ON THE SONG YOU SANG IN YOUR (SATURDAY IN THE PARK VIDEO) THE” SHORT PEOPLE SONG”. IT IS THE STANZA WHEN YOU SAY ” YOU GOT LITTLE HANDS THAT THAT PRAY TO A GREAT BIG GOD”THEN I THINK YOU SAY LITTLE HEARTS THAT — AFTER THAT PHRASE I JUST CAN’T MAKE OUT WHAT YOU ARE SAYING RIGHT IN THAT STANZA . I GET ALL THE REST OF THE SONG FINE IT’S JUST THAT SMALL WORD OR TWO THAT I HAVE BEEN PUZZLED TO WHAT IT IS ?

    1. ‘little hands that pray to a great big God.. Little heart that Jesus died and Bought! lol.. i’m encouraged by your words.. that these lyric videos are the right thing to do.. accenting songs yes, but meanings without having rhyme everything.. makes Nutshell sermons and Jesus n Music all tie together thanks

  4. YEAH B, IT’S GOOD YOU ARE DOING THESE I REALLY DIG HOW EVERYTHING TIES TOGETHER IN THE NUTSHELLS AND IN THE JESUS IN MUSIC IT’S LIKE A LOCK AND A KEY! AND HEY THANKS FOR THE LYRIC TO THAT SHORT PEOPLE SONG IT CLEARED UP A 39-YEAR-OLD MYSTERY FOR ME! AND OF COURSE THAT’S A BACKROW NUTSHELLIAN DELIGHT

  5. I’m watching a documentary about Janis Ian,…like you my favorite friend in that she picks up every stitch! Also super creative.

  6. Excellent word and truth. I praise God for changing the trajectory of our family line and for living in a state of forgiveness.
