  1. Let me just say “ALL THE ABOVE!” I’m going to be stubborn—I’m too old to upgrade and I’m becoming more antiquated by the second but I’m going to put up a fight kicking and screaming. LOL. Have a good week, BD.

  2. Thanks for sharing Bryan. This problem is so frustrating cause it’s time-consuming, expensive, and downright Insulting my Intelligence. It’s like watching a 7 year old solving a Rubic’s cube in seconds and I have to take off the ends and reglue the colors together. I wonder if it really is my age…I can do lots sans directions though. I guess it’s comforting to know Bry Baby isn’t savvy…I hear Very youngsters are. Bry is certainly articulate! And wise.but do we need to be wise to be savvy?

  3. You know B, you don’t ever have to feel alone about them old computer upgrades. They are infecting( I mean affecting) all of us baby boomers in ways it makes us feel like our heads are spinning on a high rotation Swivel! We remember, we forget at paces now that who has time to contemplate upgrades but for the sake of not messing up stuff we want the computer to keep, display and do we gotta be careful .I think for the time being for us not to have our arms around constant frustration we have to change just a little how we do things when having to mess with upgrades. Slow and easy little by little is our lot now I’m afraid or have a tech Tudor right beside you when we work on any of that stuff! It is clear to me and it’s not easy to hear but in order for us to handle the upgrades we gotta personally upgrade or we gonna be lost in the sauce !

  4. I’m like you Bryan…panic over the word Upgrade. I do navigate around an offer to Upgrade if it’s something I don’t want or need or too expensive !! I don’t like slowing down to learn to speed up…that’s usually what updates are for, or Upgrade. I’m a user. Always have support such. I’m also a writer and certified to write technology manuals. Computer? Well I could but it would cost them A Pretty Penny for me! As a matter of fact that’s a fall back job for retirement if I need it. The government says I have to stay in the poverty class if I want to keep insured. Right now I need provisional care and attention 24/7. I pay a reduced amount and my needs are met. Actually I’m happy with that arrangement and have been able to secure my cell and PC. Now talk about Fun with the Internet! I saw a cartoon years ago about a little boy punished at the dinner table by sending him to his room for the night. He smiles as he walks off with his head down. Opens the door to super cyberville. He’s a kid though. Personally I’d rather be spending time with my friends .
