That has to be the best one so far. That’s a good one to send to our favorite politicians. I wonder of the the hints here would break through their egos.
wow cool to hear from ya my Israeli friend. politicians can’t hear! LOL but then I’ve been known to read the Bible for other people too .. thanks for thoughts! made my day
Oh man, I used to teach this as a lesson for kids! I’d ask them if they ever felt like there were too many rules, and if they felt like they never knew what the rules were until they got in trouble for something. Oh yeah, they all did. So the next question, don’t you wish maybe there were maybe just 10 rules, something we could all learn and remember? Oh yeah, yeah! What if there was only ONE rule?! Wouldn’t that be great?! Oh yeah! We oils get ready to play a game where we could dance, sing, run around the room, but we couldn’t touch anything. One rule, it’s gotta be easy! But before the game got started, we’d take a break or have a planned interruption, and when we started playing, I’d high-five everyone. I’d usually play the song you wrote about Adam and Eve, and maybe “Probably love you Delilah”, then we’d sit and go over Adam and Samson’s stories. One rule was all they had, so why did they mess it up? But wait, we only had one rule in the game – why did WE mess up? Completely sobered everyone up and made us think about offering others some grace because, well, being perfect for just 5 minutes turns out to be nearly impossible. (Not sure if that lesson was better for the kids, or the other adults in class with us!)
