  1. I can relate to that feeling like I’m by myself in a room full of people. Happens on many occasions—even with people I’ve known for years, related or non-related. Oh, well it is what it is as some people say. I’m to the point where it doesn’t even matter anymore. Everybody gets so absorbed in what they’re doing that other people tend not to matter. It’s a sad way to be. Enough of me ranting on about that—Bryan hang in there.

  2. I always talk to people while in line. One time a bunch of people kept leaving and going to the back of the line. I went back to see what was going on . I over heard them say some nut was up front.

  3. I needed to hear this today,I agree,no enabling, need more conversation, and I like your sense of humor while getting to the point.Love, your other lunatic friend.

  4. Mobile phones – everyone I see looks at them. Got a story about that. At a high school I was training as a class support officer, I came across two students facing each other tapping on their mobile phones. Approaching them, I said “Hello” and asked them what they were doing and one of them responded “Oh, we are just smsing each other on our mobile phones Mr. Peter”. “Oh”, I responded, “Enjoy your conversation then”, and walked on. I recall as I walked on commenting to myself, out of earshot of the two students, “That’s real wierd. What’s the problem with face to face honest and vulnerable conversations between friends”. Put it down to generation gap between the old Babyboomer and the younger Z Generation………

  5. B, this nutshellycast is one that does cause a lot of forehead rubbing. Sure, we all would love the one to be first to offer forgiveness where it is truly needed because we want it if we do something to others that we become in need of it ! The real test is the aftermath after forgiveness is given and what the situation warrant next from us! Nobody says anything bout the pretty penny one might have to spend at Home depot for the 10 ft polls of lumber to love these forgiven people from sometimes still ! You love em and forgive em just for now at a distance ! Like you say B “LOVE TAKES TIME ” !

  6. I think this has got to be my favorite this far. Addresses things that I have thought about alot.
    Thank you for this one.

  7. Bryan you lost me on this sermon…or am I paranoid that you’re talking about me? I’m criticized from the time I wake up til the time I go to sleep. All I hear is Be patient…for 10 minutes to an hour to 2 hours to 3 hours…if I say one word I’m being a difficult nuisance. One thing I know is I’m always last! Should I attribute that to my last name starts with “Z”? I went all the way through elementary school being last for that…I know one thing I’m last cause I’m at the end of my rope!

    1. Hi Jane Elizabeth. I’ve seen you in this nutshell room before. Are you in a rehab? Would you like a friend to talk to? I work with older people and I love them. I will also advocate for you if someone isn’t treating you right. Please add me on Facebook under MKBashlor, or email me at mkbashlor@mail.com. hope to tt you soon.

  8. If you are standing in line with a bunch of people, doesn’t that amount to a captive audience? I would try out some of my material. Were you the one who tried stand up at one point, or was that someone else?

  9. Speaking of loving one another… Reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend. He knows Jesus and has a sense of humor that comes out in unexpected ways sometimes. We were talking one day and he said, “I love everybody… And whoever I don’t love I try to avoid.” Hilarious contradiction with a trace of realism! Hits close to home. I am counting on Jesus to love thru me in a way that transcends my tendency to hide on the back row. But hey, there are some others on the back row, so that’s a start! And we’re striking up a conversation right now! Awesome!
